So a question, where is everyone getting their cycling news fix from now?
Among other places, this board. Check out the long winded but not inaccurate article on Pez Cycling News about the cycling media industry, written ironically by an Outside affiliated person. There are many sources of cycling content, including from amateurs-- us. Heck, when Ronan McLauglin and James Huang post here, it's a pro site too.
I'd forgotten about Pez, I think I stopped visiting about the same time as I stopped reading Cyclingnews.
Might give it another shot.
The PEZ Toolbox section is great.
I don't read it often but like it. It has ads -- good! Cycling journalists should have a business plan to allow them to continue to stay in business. Some of the products are ones I'd not heard about, and interesting. The ads aren't usually from big bike companies whose products are up for review -- and even if they are, you know it and can judge the reviews accordingly. And Pez isn't primarily a review site although over the years Charles Manantan has done good work for the site on that. Same comments except for final one apply to Bike Rumor, another site I like.
