My contacts have a cylinder value of -0.75 R and -2.25 L. The left eye is the one that causes trouble, I think the -2.25 is the most extreme level of correction with most contacts so beyond that you’re outbid luck. There’s also the fact that astigmatism correcting contacts can be felt on the eyeball, moreso than regular spherical contacts.ghostinthemachine wrote: ↑Fri Oct 14, 2022 11:45 amYeah. Astigmatism gives the star effect around bright lights. There was a big thing in some of the UK papers 2/3 years ago. But i was told years ago by my optician.
Contacts are always a bit of a compromise with astigmatism, mines only mild so they make no attempt with contacts and only fix it on my glasses.
My other half has "proper" contacts that fix astigmatism, but it's a lot worse than mine.
