Wera Hex Plus are the best hex keys I've ever used.
If you need to be convinced, take a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t82jTk3mP5E

I already ordered the Wera hex (on the way) and Torx keys. But I didn't stop there. I also ordered a set of their metric wrenches, screwdrivers, Wiha pliers/cutter, adjustable wrenches, and hammer. And even though I picked I just picked up the two Park Tool torque wrenches this morning, I'm really tempted at returning the smaller PT TW5.2 and replace it with the Wera Bicycle torque 1 set.
Bianchi Oltre XR4, De Rosa SK Pininfarina, Trek Madone SLR, Giant TCR Advanced SL, Cervelo R5 Disk, Giant Revolt
Have a set of silca hexes / torx (not in the stupid fancy wooden box) on sale last year and really like them.
Good solid metal even down to smallest size that haven't rounded and non-slip coating on the handle.

I swear by EIGHT hex keys. These guys have been manufacturing hex keys and hex keys only in Osaka since 1965. (They started to offer Torx keys only recently.) I just checked their website and they claim to have operating capital of 20 million yen. For a company specialising only in making hex keys, that capital and longevity are something.
Although I might sound overly promotive, I'm not affiliated to them in any way. I just love my hex keys

Differentiators between hex keys in no particular order:exFictitiouZ wrote: ↑Sat Mar 14, 2020 5:13 pmI swear by EIGHT hex keys. 1) tolerances
2) hardness
3) strength
4) finish / corrosion resistance
5) handle length / type
6) price
7) key design
(1) is certainly very important. (2,3,4,5) are pretty close from the reputable brands. (6) clearly some sets are overpriced. (7) Wera seems to be the only brand doing anything special here...giving their hex keys more of a torx geometry.
I am looking for this Silca products https://bikeshop.no/silca/silca023/silc ... -kit-2-8nm
Anyone knows is this a good product?

I have that set. It's the torque wrench I usually use for the small low torque components. Doesn't measure beyond 8Nm, though you can use it with the shorter non-torque-measuring shaft as a normal multi-tool.matioli wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2020 9:31 pmI am looking for this Silca products https://bikeshop.no/silca/silca023/silc ... -kit-2-8nm. I have Husky hex keys, which are Home Depot brand but seem as good as others I have used. And I have a Craftsman 3/8 Torque Wrench for larger stuff and I recently got the Giant 1/4 inch torque wrench kit, that comes with and extension and multiple bits, retail around 100 US which is great deal for this tool in my opinion.
I wanted to bump this thread, as I'm looking to pick up some quality torque wrenches during the holiday shopping season this year.
Do any of you guys have suggestions on quality torque wrenches for both smaller ranges (2.5-15NM) as well as larger ranges (10-50NM)?
I've been eyeing the Wera torque wrenches from KC Tool, but I'm a bit unsure as to how to get them calibrated when it's time since I'm based in the US. Anybody here in the US who has Wera torque wrenches that can chime in?

I have the Wera Click Torque A6 and love it. Wera has a USA office and can do recalibration from there so no need to send it back to Germany.tepextate wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 9:42 pmI wanted to bump this thread, as I'm looking to pick up some quality torque wrenches during the holiday shopping season this year.
