Not subtle, but thoroughly designed. Each jersey bought donates NOK 500 to to Norwegian LGBT rights organization Fri.

They might not be glamorous, but the new Decathlon (Van Rysel) jerseys have a quite nice/subtle design.

It's just Decathlon's own brand. What used to be Btwin, now with a "cooler" branding.
Van Rysel is not "just" or not "cooler than btwin".

I own one racer jersey, one warm jersey and one vest, all black, slick design. I can honestly say that built quality and shape is very high level.

I usually wear assos, castelli, maloja brands, but this is good enough and not a shitty supermarket brand at all!

I have nothing against Van Rysel/Decathlon, but the first (and last) jersey my wife bought there came apart after two rides.

What model and brand?

It was Van Rysel, I just said so. Of course I do not know the name of the model. It was a purple cycling jersey. Came apart at the stitching.

I had one van rysel jersey too, and the stitching came apart, but mostly caused by XC racing (so trees may catch the jersey) and one crash.
But Decathlon is genius in customer support. I brought the jersey back to shop and got full refund immediately.

That's true, they do have good costumer support (in my experience).

Yes, Decathlon's customer support is great. They generally give you your money back on anything that remotely looks like a valid warranty claim, no questions asked.

I might pick up one of their new jerseys this summer, because they seem to fit tight, the designs are subtle enough, and the price is reasonable. I have been using their 60€ shorts (the top of the line option with Elastic Interface seat pad) for a few months and they are great. While the fancy brands costing at least twice as much might be a bit better, they are a perfect option for everyday use.

Boy I have used many brands over the years but recently got a Endura Pro SL Long Sleeved
Total heaven & great fit. Material is so comfy & nice looking feel etc etc

This is their KingFisher Green I went back & bought the other 2 colors Fossil Grey & Black
so have all three now.....Highly recommend a try

I have been using only Endura Pro SL Bibs for 2 years now small with narrow pad....
Also have nothing but good things to say about them

Anyway try this jersey it is not heavy 204 grams for my small
Not too hot but just right for morning & mid morning rides

Came across Universal Colours yesterday - https://universalcolours.blog/.
Now that I'm interested in. Looks like some really subtle classy kit visually. Thank you for the heads-up.
Tried their Chroma level “aero fit” kit recently. It’s terrible for a performance minded kit. The fabric is crunchy and it doesn’t breathe/wick at all. Even in warm (not hot) temps, my sweat was pooling on the chest and back panels. The pockets are also very annoying to access because the openings are too high up and too tight.

Sadly none of these “fashion” brands really compare to the performance brands like Castelli/Sportful, Assos, Giordana, etc.

Any recommendations for a good quality road jersey with an open track collar?
Meaning no material around the neck, zipper ends below the throat.
I can't stand any material on or near the trachea.
Thx

I thought SOLO was a New Zealand brand.

As an Aussie I'm obligated to claim anything good from NZ as our own, so if these tops were any good, then yeah they're Aussie.

Russel Crowe on the other hand. Nah they can keep the w*nker.

Just an additional data point, I purchased two of the Le Col Pro Aero Jerseys. While they look nice, the material is much too heavy and does not breathe well. Probably fine for fall/spring but I avoid wearing these most of the summer.

I've been wearing Siroko SRX jerseys and have been happy with them. They are very lightweight, material is stretchy and form fitting and they are aesthetically pleasing with very subtle branding. My only complaint is that they tend to bunch up a little since they are on the long side while riding but it's not something you notice, only something you see in photos.
