Probably not the kind of answers you are looking for, but we typically stayed at the following hotels while visiting for business, and the wife and I usually extended our stay a week or so and have never been disappointed:
The Clermont London, Charing Cross (stones throw from Trafalgar Square)
Sea Containers London (on the river at Blackfriars Bridge)

My girlfriend / partner is working full-time over there at the moment. We are renting an apartment in Hampstead. If she ends up staying in the UK longer we'll probably move further out the city cause rent is insane (especially in Hampstead. Our home mortgage is cheaper in California LOL) I'd love Surrey Hills area but somewhere along the Northern tube line is more likely for her 3 times / week commute. Thinking St Albans or Hatfield.

I should mention! I've stayed in Cirencester for 3 days and loved riding there. Nearly no cars around except on the very main streets. Got a decent amount of climbing in too on the rides! Some surprise steep hills throughout.
Not what you'd call "London" obviously but with my giant USA land mass standard, an hour and a half away from the city is considered pretty local still
Granted we were there pretty off season and nowhere near summer. It might be more popular during warmer months.

Likewise. Although I live in SE London so most of my routes are for the North Downs/Kent. A better area for cycling IMO than the Surrey Hills...MrCurrieinahurry wrote: ↑Fri Dec 15, 2023 7:06 amWell if people are ever in London I'm happy to share some routes or head out for a ride etc.

Clapham? On the Northern Line, a nice part of the world and South of London is better for riding than North of London.gurk700 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 9:39 pmMy girlfriend / partner is working full-time over there at the moment. Also rental prices are often cheaper south of the river than north of it.
