It's not as waterproof as Shakedry.
So it's not waterproof. That's OK, I'd definitely use that as a outer layer for winter riding. If rain is expected, I have a lifetime supply of Shakedry. 8)

Does it come with a gag ball or is that sold separately?
You deserve at least a :D . I was thinking something similar.

Apparently it's far more stretchy than any wind- and waterproof with at least a little breathability before, so it's just logical that they launch it with something that comes in proper jersey fit, because that's something that wasn't really possible before. Looking forward to the gilet sibling. Perhaps the post-shakedry era won't be all that terrible after all.
According to Castelli: The fabric weighs just 125gr /m2 and stretches to at least double the original dimension in each direction :unbelievable:
Pretty impressive for something that's waterproof.
Would be interested to see the inside of one of these. I used to work for a high end mountaneering company and we were one of the first using a Polartec fabric called Neo Stretch Ultimate. Unfortunately nobody had designed tape for the seams that was stretchy enough so after a couple of months the tape would tear making it no longer waterproof

Perhaps an unfair test - and perhaps not all riders used it - but yesterday at La Fleche 6/7 Soudal riders DNF'd, like many other teams. Absolutely not saying it's because of the Gabba (many teams did the same), but likewise the jacket by itself didn't quite seem to give riders any advantage either.

It won't help unless you're wearing it. And Soudal riders like many others were awfully underdressed for the weather.

You can wear whatever you want. If I throw buckets of water over you for 10 minutes straight you will get soaked.

I own one of this vest, but it’s not flexibel.

It feels much more than a shakedry vest.

Mine just arrived:

I wearing a thermo base layer + Castelli fall/spring jersey to test fit. Will never wear more layers than this. It's tight but ok for me comfort-wise. The jersey and Gabba are the same size. Last picture is the thing stuffed in my pocket. It takes a bit more space than one of those flimsy flappy things, but you can't have it all :D

No idea how to fold it inside its own pocket, there are no instructions :p

Note how the magic marketing foldup pictures have the zipper neck section center. And the fingers carefully cradled, I'd take it as a given that this only really stays that compact with some outside pressure, e.g. from the fingers. Or from a pocket, which makes it actually not that bad.

I just did some experiments with regular jerseys to get them into that shape. Close the zipper, invert the thing (don't invert the arms), fold/roll/crunch lengthwise away from the zipper, then roll up bottom to neck. Then un-invert some of the neck section and pull it back around the thing. By controlling the amount of un-inverted neck section and playing a bit with the part where inverted and un-inverted meet, in one example I was even able to tease out some self-stabilisation. Not enough to toss it around and it will retain its compact shape forever, but, to my greatest surprise, enough for some minor juggling (I can't juggle). I was expecting that opening/closing the end of the zipper would come into play somehow, but it does not.

I often wear my Gabba RoS2 in dry but cold weather, eg 5-10deg C straight fromthe door. Will anyone wear this condom in shiny conditions?
