Looking for a waterproof gilet for cycling, something to keep on in wet weather rather than taking a waterproof jacket on and off.
I usually go Castelli or Rapha but they don't make a proper waterproof gilet.
The only thing I can find is this. I'm not aware of the fabric they use. https://uk.pasnormalstudios.com/product ... ght-yellow

Have a look at the Assos Equipe.
I have the waterproof gilet and the packable jacket.
They arent cheap (but can be found discounted) - but you really get what you pay for with these.
I've went through a lot of clothing from different brands and these 2 items are absolutley the best i've had - I wouldnt swap them out for anything.

I have one of the Assos Spring Fall gilets (https://www.assos.com/us/equipe-rs-spri ... 82191.html). It's awesome, fits in a pocket when you fold it up, greater for mountain descents when it's dry and it's water resistant. Biggest downside IMO is the price.

Gilets aren't great for rain...too many areas where water can get into...especially sleeveless armpit areas. It also has to fit very snug in order for it be be somewhat useful in that regard. I use the Assos Equipe RS Gilet Spring Fall that normally is a bit stretchy and form fitting. The material is wetsuit-like and does a great job...but not waterproof to the point where you won't get wet.
