Tubeless touring/commute tyres
I guess any tyre can be used to commute and there's a risk that marketing dictates but it seems to me that tyres touted as touring or commuting (Marathon range or Conti Contacts) don't have a tubeless variant.
Starting a new job which will allow me a 25km both way commute going from city roads into rural countryside and I'd like to set up with the intention of riding year round.
My Synapse carbon is clad with 28c tubeless and I'm a convert of this being the way so I'd like to go similar on the Kinesis, which would be my commute bike, but 30c tubeless (size matters - mudguards/clearance).
Puncture resistant/prevention is the main priority. Am I resigned to going back to tubed? I do like the way lower pressure tubeless runs and sticking a tyre worm in on the off chance a puncture occurs and just getting on really appeals.

Well, as you said at the top any tire can be used for commuting. I'm currently on the schwalbe g-one RS, previously the Strada Bianca's and some other gravel tires before that. My commute is 40 km round trip and I wouldn't dream of riding a harsh touring tire for that (notable exceptions are the Marathon Winters on my second set of wheels). Just beware that these types of tire will wear faster than touring/commuting tires. That's about it.

If nothing else, the suggestions so far arent throwing up anything I haven't found already. Which I guess means I'm not missing a hidden gem.

I also run the Pirellis for commuting - it is a very good option. I don't think you will find anything with better puncture proofing to rolling resistance ratio. You could consider the GP5000 AS and have faith in your sealant.

Given it was 29.3mm on a narrow rim, it'll likely be more like 30mm on a more modern rim. Using BRR's data they'd save some weight and watts from the Pirelli's at the expense of being not quite as tough. Wet grip seems similar for both:

I use the Conti Contact Urban... They are not classified as tubeless but I have ran them about 2000km now and they are great. I do have to top off pressure every week though...

The Contact Urbans are what I use on my commuter in the winter and I can verify that they're great tyres. They're heavy wire bead tyres so I just double down on the weight and use butyl tubes, also means I don't have to pump them up too often and it's quick to swap over to gravel tyres.

Re: Conti Contact Urban - not sure I'm up for (brave enough!) running them tubeless...
Guess going tubes is an option. In my mind I made the switch to tubeless and love them. Tubed tyres would, for my sanity/faff factor, have to be bomber because I really don't want the hassle of a puncture on the way to work in winter. Suppose that puts the Marathons on the table (but not very WW!).

Maybe the S Works Turbo/Mondo then?
They look pretty similar but the Mondo adds some wet grip at the expense of a couple of watts and weight:

A response to my original post to complete the circle...
Went with Pirelli Cinturato Velo and took a punt on 32c fitting, which they just about do with enough clearance so they don't get too claggy or run a major risk of jamming up.
About 300km on them so far running about 65psi. Comfy, grippy and so far no punctures. According to Strava I'm not losing out time wise over the 28c I had on before (IRC something or others).
