Giro Republic vs Rumble

Looking to step up my commuting soon, and do 60ish km once a week (train+bike commute). I am into Giro shoes, and wondering what would speak for/against Giro's Republic vs Rumble. I'll probably leave extra shoes at the office so looks are secondary, but office - station, then on the train, leave station with bike to start riding might well involve some walking, including stairs, carrying the bike.

Hopefully this isn't too late of a reply...

I considered both, and while I went for Lake shoes instead for fit & price, the factor that pulled me more than anything was how much rubber is on the sole: because that will be the first to wear thin. Between those two are the rubber bits replaceable?

I have the Rumble for commuting, touring and road/gravel rides where I might have to push the bike.

You can walk in them just like in trainers, run down stairs etc.

The Republic doesn't look fully "walkable", but then some people can walk in high heels... :D

does the cleat touch the floor?
I haven't seen these types of shoes with the cleats in (just in the store without cleats)

Republics are too much of a cycling shoe to really walk with. Shimano MT7 are ugly AF, but easy to walk in and have Boas (laces are a PITA for a daily use and end up broken). But I wouldn't ride 60 kms in MT7s.
