did you try some soapy water on the bead and hook? this seems to do the trick for me every timegurk700 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 5:50 amUnfortunately no luck with my rims. Bummer I won't be able to test out these tires.
Even got an air compressor (not only for installing these but future tubeless setups) with the park tool inf-2
2 different wheelsets (farsports 30mm width, no spoke holes and hed vanquish with tape)
They both mount gp5000 with 0 effort. Just with a floor pump. Also tested them with the air compressor and ofcourse that's even easier / quicker.
Enves just won't seat. Tried pressing on different areas of the tire etc while I inflate with the compressor. No go.
Finally tried the inner tube method too. Still didn't work.
Just my experience obviously. I'm aware I might be minority.
One more method I can think of is putting sealant in first and let it slush around. Maybe it'll make the tire a little air tight before I try to seat it? who knows.

Mine seated pretty easily with a tyre booster on PCW Wake 6560 Strada. 27mm on the front on the first try and 29mm at the rear on a 3rd try. Before inflating the tyre I tried to play with it for a while, pushing it down and rolling the wheel on the ground. No idea if this made any difference though. Otherwise I am very happy with these tyres. They feel a lot better than GP 5000 STR. If the puncture resistance is as good, then I have my new favorite tyre by far.
Yep. Don't need it with contis but did use soap for every attempt on the enve tires.208 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 7:55 amdid you try some soapy water on the bead and hook? this seems to do the trick for me every timegurk700 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 5:50 amUnfortunately no luck with my rims. Honestly if they were even a tiny bit worse than GP5000 (which they are not according to BRR) I'd use them for the weight alone. But hey. Not meant to be. Maybe if I have different wheels down the line, I'll give them a shot again. For now they'll be collecting dust in the drawerTomasisko wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 6:40 pmMine seated pretty easily with a tyre booster on PCW Wake 6560 Strada. 27mm on the front on the first try and 29mm at the rear on a 3rd try. Enve mentions a 31mm version. Does anyone know when/if those will launch?

Didn't see a debris field of broken glass while doing 30mph and had to use two DynaPlugs on a 3mm puncture. I'll chalk that up to really bad luck. When I got home I swapped out the DynaPlugs to test my new Clever Standard Bacon Anchor / WTB TCS Rocket plug kit. Happy to report that works really well. I just wish the WTB kit took up less space. I'm definitely still enjoying the ride-feel of these tires, though it's a bit weird being able to see the woven pattern of the casing thread so clearly through the rubber layer.
as mentioned.. 1 dynaplug on the sidewall a bit ago after hitting a large rock. Still holding fine, debating if I should patch the inside or not.

I flatted after 700k on the rear tire. Dynaplug fixed it - middle of tread. It is hard to see how much the tire has worn down as its not squared off in rear and there are no wear indicators. I like the feel and grip of tires but not sure on durability & longevity yet.

Just got a pinhole puncture right down the center that required another DynaPlug. No idea what caused it, but it should have sealed... Maybe it would have eventually, but I didn't want to lose more air pressure or sealant since I was warming up for a group ride.
The collective number of punctures from posters in this thread is starting to paint a picture...

I just mounted the 27mm tire on my Farsports Hyper hooked wheels with 25mm internal width.
I mounted the tire in less than a minute with 1 tire lever and it seated right away on my first try with an air compressor.
These flat reports are making me worried. I've been running the TT TR tires for a few months now with 0 flats.
