I just mounted some GP5000 in 28 mm size on my DT Swiss ERC 1000 wheelset that has rims with internal width of 22 mm and the tire measures around 28-29 mm. I will double check tomorrow.
However, a 25 mm GP5000 might stretch more on the same rim and a 30 mm might not stretch at all.

gp5000 tubes right? Oke please measure it. I would buy it to the dt swiss erc 1400 (22c) rims. Thank you. what pressure are you using?
28mm with TPU tubes on 22mm rims -> 29,8mm
Well, DT Swiss optimized the rims on ERC for 28 mm wide tires. In my case the transition from rim to tire side is smooth, the tire is 29 mm WAM and the rim is 28.5 mm. You cannot even see the difference in width. If you plan on riding 25 mm wide tires, maybe the ARC wheels are better suited as those are optimized for 25 mm.
How easy is it to install gp5000 28mm tires on erc 1100 rims? I'm thinking of a roadside repair here..Beebsta wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 3:02 pmWell, DT Swiss optimized the rims on ERC for 28 mm wide tires. Why didn't you want to use tire levers? Rim rim damage or pinching?
I think I will order 2 gp5000 28mm tires. I dare not accept the tlr. I'm afraid if he doesn't close, he'll ruin my clothes too. I'd rather fix a bug
The answer is rim damage. I am more like an XC guy that used aluminum allow wheelsets in the past and I have switched to road bikes, this is my first carbon wheelset and I was afraid I might be too brutal with a tire lever
I think you are hungarian so should be easy for you to order from Bike-discount. They had great prices on GP5000s in December.

how is the front wheel turning for you? (can you make a video about it for me)?
