Panaracer's Agilest Fast

"electron beam bonding’ manufacturing process... It's an electron beam that merges all of the layers [in the tyre] together and eliminates any error – or the possibility of a gap between layers."

This stood out, curious about what this entails in terms of performance on the Bicycle Rolling Resistance tire test.

I assume they're laser sintering the seam. But they've launched it with ZERO information about specs or availability, just pricing ... there's not even anything on their website.

They are tube type, and the 700x25 comes in at 230g, so 40g more than the regular Agilest and 75g more than the Agilest Light of the same size.

Given that the photos of the tyres so far are on Zipp 303s wheels then that means there's a tubeless version also coming out which is hookless compatible.

I watched David Arthur’s video and in there, if I understood correctly it shows a pic of this tyre on the Zipp which he took while it was at a Bike Show in London

well.... how does it work?
Zipp 303 Hookles max pressure is 73 psi, and those aspite tires calls for 80-100 psi in 700x28? That renders pretty much unusable combo?
I get that for most people it will be around 50-60 psi, but still? A bit too risky to ride combo when there's no overlap in usable pressures at all?

At this point I'm not sure who's safer: lightweight riders (45-50 psi?) or heavyweight riders (60+?)

Second one says "Rim fit Hookless" and calls for .... 65-90 in 700x30 but now it's 275gm.

$80 a piece... I'd rather try something else

I would have thought using a robot controlled laser would be potentially far more beneficial for TL than tube. Former it can minimize chance of air leakage or blowout, and uneven tire deformation matters much more as the tire itself is pressurized.

Not sure why you quote a TLR tire while I am talking about... a hookless compatible clincher, in response to mounting the Agilest Fast on a hookless rim.

The clincher version of this tire in the 700x28c size is on the BRR vote list if you have a Pro membership.
