Do you only want to buy a rim to build? Or would you also consider a complete wheelset. The only slightly aero designs I've seen for alloy rims are things like the Hunt 34 Aero Wide or DT Swiss AR1600. But I don't know if you can buy only the rims for these.

Yes. Rim only. I already have an idea of spokes and hubs. I build the wheels myself.chrisw91 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 28, 2023 10:28 pmDo you only want to buy a rim to build? Disc rims so the brake track is of no concern.
They're expensive but I've heard good things of the A Force Al33 rims:

Oops sorry I missed the disc brake part in your OP. Still the HED will likely be faster and lighter than fully aluminum wheels. Of course, if there's a reason you're completely avoiding carbon even if it's just the fairing, then they're out.
Definitely good options. I will put them om my shortlist.
I agree. I currently have a wheelset with the rimbrake version. But they are very hard to source.CampagYOLO wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2023 11:05 am

Does anyone have some feedback on the Pacenti Forzas?
They have really been growing on me over the weekend. Would 24/24 spokes (straigtpull) be possible for 90 kg (198 pounds)? Or would it be too risky and better go 28/28?

Het Jet RC5 - direct on Hed webite. 50mm, under $800 US.
Thanks. Although I love Hed products, and their Belgium plus rim is very interesting, I think the Jet RC5 is a carbon rim. And AFAIK they are only sold as wheelset not rims only.ClydesDale wrote: ↑Tue Dec 05, 2023 5:31 pmHet Jet RC5 - direct on Hed webite. 50mm, under $800 US.

They are not carbon rims. They are aluminum rims with a carbon aero fairing.
HED doesn't sell rims on their site, but they are available. Reach out to HED or a wheelbuilder:
