Replaced rear stock CADEX tire with Pro One 25mm, after about 6000km (the rubber casing of the CADEX was starting to peel off). Pro One is more comfy and rolls better. Very pleased. However, over time it starts weeping moisture (from the sealant) like crazy. Patches of moisture all over the tire. It looks horrible. I was beginning to question if it would impair the effectiveness of the sealant in case of a puncture. But earlier this month, I got a puncture and the sealant did its job (I noticed only near the end of my ride) and allowed me to ride home. So, it lasted about 5600km (probably more if I haven't gone on that disgusting road full of garbage on that last ride). I have now installed a new one. Let's see if this one also weeps. Ordered Michelin Power Cup to try next.
The front CADEX seems indestructible. At least 12000km and counting.
I'm a similarly light rider.

I had the weeping tyres issue on my old GP5KS TR's and it turns out that's a result of not shaking your sealant properly before installation. Once I gave my sealant a vigourous shake before installing the weeping problem disappeared.darrydonds wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 5:59 amReplaced rear stock CADEX tire with Pro One 25mm, after about 6000km (the rubber casing of the CADEX was starting to peel off). Model: 404FC (2021)
Rim Inner Width: 23mm
Rim Outer Width: 28mm
Tyres: Schwalbe Pro One 28mm – punctured in the first 20km so ended in the bin. thought the branding appliation was poor and tyres generally looked cheap.
Tyres: GP5000 TL 28mm – punctured in the first 50km so ended in the bin.
Tyres: Pirelli PZero 28mm – bomb proof compared to the other two! felt good but def slower than the others (if you don't take pissing around with plugs by side of the road)
Rider weight: 78kg
Running time: 1.5 years but only 3 seasons as i'm on the turbo for proper winter
to be fair the schwalbe and contis punctured in a cycle lane in london from glass. could've cut any tyre i suppose but never had a problem with the PZeros.
