I have around 10k kms on them since last year. Going from 38mm deep Chinese rims with dt350 hubs built by local wheel builder it’s pretty big difference, especially when it comes to comfort and stability in crosswinds, DT despite being deeper are much more stable even in strong wind. 180 hubs with ceramic bearings and hidden nipples are also nice additions. Pretty expensive but honestly no downsides, great wheels for all conditions.

And yes, 28c corsas are flush with the rim. I previously ran 25c GP5000STR which measured around 26.5mm

What pressures are you guys running on those? I had my first test ride today. I’m around 80kg and pumped them to 5bar/73psi but I’m wondering if i should get it lower to around 4.5bar. Roads i ride are often pretty bad so I would probably waste less energy bouncing around

Corsa Pro Control 28mm - 306 & 307 grams

How are they holding air? Are they airtight without sealant? A little bit heavy for 2023 TLR tyres

According to multiple accounts, the 30mm and 32mm versions have the same width (30mm) tread cap as the 28mm tire. Pretty lame if true.

Just measured the tread on 30mm Corsa Pros at 32mm. Total casing width was 78mm. Tread-to-casing ratio = 41%

Jarno’s measured values for the 28mm tire = 30mm/73mm. So yeah make no mistake, the 30mm tire should definitely sit taller on any rim.

Vittoria Corsa Pro 30c on a Roval CL 50 Disc with 21mm internal, measures 30,2mm at 4,5 Bar.

Mounted yesterday with Milkit sealant.

They lose air rapidly without sealant and need a ride or two to be fully airtight once sealant has been added.

Yep, one of my tires holds air well, the other does not.

I had first few rides (around 300km and 4000m up total) with pro Controls 28c. Coming from few years only riding Conti 5000 (tl & str) on road I feel big improvement when it comes to comfort, I feel like contis are tiny bit faster on good tarmac but once things are getting worse (which is most of my riding ) Victorias feel better. I started around 5bar but now i think around 4.5 is pretty much perfect(I’m around 80kg with 7.5kg bike) Average speeds are more or less the same but rough parts feel way smoother. Grip
on dry feels the same as Contis, haven’t ridden in the rain yet.

Orange Standard, no stains so far.

Had front and rear punctures on a ride today.

The rear I only noticed when my riding partner alerted me to the sealant spray on my seatpost. It was caused by a tiny stone I rubbed away from the puncture site when I stopped to have a look. The puncture sealed no bother and there was no discernible loss of pressure.

The front was an explosive blow out 1 mile from home on a 165 mile ride. I was on a smooth tarmac road and there was a loud bang, hiss, and the tire completely deflated in seconds. Fortunately I was on a slight uphill drag and could stop safely. On inspection, the tread had a small cut which I dynaplugged then finished my ride.

I'm not sure if any general conclusions can be drawn, but I get the impression that the tread on these is quite thin and puncture resistance is considerably weaker than on GP 5000 S TR and Pirelli P Zero Race.

These tyres remind me of my Corsa Speed riding days: superb comfort, road feel and speed, but they could turn out to be almost as fragile.

Edit: did a short recovery ride and the dynaplugged hole started leaking, but sealed again soon after. I pulled the plug and revealed this cut. I will patch this from the inside and keep riding it, but I know many wouldn't. It's galling to think this £80 tyre could end up in the bin after only a couple of weeks!

Per BRR, GP5k S TR is the one whose tread is nearly as weak as corsa speed, but corsa pro has a 30% stronger tread.

Yes, and I would agree that BRR's testing is a better indicator of puncture resistance than my sample of one anecdote, but to me the Pros feel softer and less tough than the S TRs, and I haven't had a puncture on them in months.

Anyway, I much prefer the feel of the Vittorias so will continue to ride them. I repaired that blowout cut with a tubeless patch and some flexible glue and it looks safe enough to me. Seems the debris embedded in the tyre then rotated up and removed a big chunk of paint from under my fork before exploding. That's bad enough, but I'm not adding to the woe by binning this tyre just yet!

I will say that my Corsas have been through some things and have managed to not puncture yet (knock on wood). I’ve actually been pretty surprised given some of the crap I’ve ridden through.
