If you want to save weight yes. The only reason for that change. CLX50 is such an amazing wheel I know after ridden a few others too

I went from CL50 to CL II. The CL50 were really good but I feel the CLii stiffer, especially sprinting. And a bit less comfortable on bumpy roads. I would say it is bit easier to keep high speeds on the clii. Regarding the handling nothing to say. They feel equal to me.

Only on weight weenies this is an upgrade. Besides that, the Rapide CLX2 is the much faster, and compared to the CLX50 more stable choice.

CLX2? Which model are you talking about?FlatlandClimber wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 11:15 pm...the Rapide CLX2 is the much faster, and compared to the CLX50 more stable choice.
Are you saying the shallower CLX32 is faster than the deeper CLX50?
Thx

They are talking about the Rapide CLX II, ie the second generation.Johnny Rad wrote: ↑Sun Nov 27, 2022 3:46 amCLX2? Which model are you talking about?FlatlandClimber wrote: ↑Wed Nov 23, 2022 11:15 pm...the Rapide CLX2 is the much faster, and compared to the CLX50 more stable choice.

If you have no problem with Hookless, those are very good wheels.

I suspect OP meant to compare aero wheelsets Rapide CLX 50 & Rapide CL II, not with Alpinist which is a climbing wheelset.
Roval Rapide CLX 50 were 50mm and specced at 1375 bare, measured 1415-1439 with rim tape and valves.
Roval Alpinist CLX II are 33/37mm and specced at 1265g with rim tape and valves.
Roval Rapide CLX II are 51/60mm and specced at 1520g with rim tape and valves.
All of those are hooked TLR rims.

Has someone info on the Roval Rapids CLXII decals ? Are they removable or are the baked into the rim ?
I hate large decals from an aesthetics point of view.
