You are braver than me. Hookless relies on a strong bead that is very resistant to stretch in order for the tyre to stay on the rim. No hook to stop the bead lifting off the rim bed.
I have WR50 hookless and will only use tyres designed for hookless rims for that reason.

After many years of running clinchers I was comfortable mounting them but after that experience I won’t run clinchers on hookless again.

Running Next 28's on Zipp 303s wheels for my training rides and the tires are outstanding. No issues mounting them either. Hold air nice and I even swapped them from a different set of wheels to these and they were a breeze. I also had them on some Reserve 34/37 hooked rims and they felt great but I sold those wheels. Good grip as well. Feel perfect for mile munching rides.

By the comments here these are still a good buy yes?

I kinda wanted the Contis but too expensive IMO, although there might be a trade off there with durability so Im also considering that aspect

My take on these vs the AS TR:

In season racing - Conti AS TR
Out of season or training worry free - Next TLR

The contis are just too expensive to justify anything other than a race tire at the moment, but if they grip harder the S TR, then they will make the perfect sopping-wet crit tire. That said, I've still not pushed the Vittorias past the limit and they seem to wear pretty nicely. Plus they can be pi ked up for cheap.

Does anybody have measured widths of these mounted on 25mm inner rims? 28s,30s or 32s?

I tested fitted a 30mm on my Light Bicycle WR hooked rims (25mm internal) and it measured right about 30mm then, but I've not left it on to know if it stretched out much more.

Very helpful, thanks. Actually looking at fitting them on the same wheels (hooked LB WR38s) but the 32c gravelkings I have on at the moment blow up to 35mm and so don't fit under my mudguards. I need something around 32-33mm WAM so maybe these tyres in a 32 would work?

I'm not sure about that. My 32's are mounted to hooked rims with a 24.6 internal width and they blow up to 34mm. They just fit under my Kinesis fend off guards.

Urgh, ok thanks, back to the drawing board then! Are there any tyres with similar level of wet grip/puncture resistance that are 32ish WAM on 25mm inner rims?

An earlier width measurement in this forum measured the 30mm Next at just under 31mm on a 23mm hookless rim, so the 30mm tyres should measure around 31.5mm on your 25mm rims.

Looking at BRR, I don't get the point of the NEXT and Pro Control coexisting. Same or very close in nearly all specifications. Except NEXT has better sidewall protection and yet rolls marginally faster.

Corsa NEXT 32mm mounted on hooked WR38s measure exactly 35mm. You want 30mm tyres for 32-33mm WAM on 25mm rim.

I'd love to know what the 32mm tube type measure on a 19mm internal rim.
