never have issue with new 2022 Duar Ace C50 or C36 tubeless wheelset. I prefer the C50 over princeton 4550 or 4540, since I've all thee wheels for comparison. C50 do not get hit by Cross wind as much (seems to slice the wind) and rolling of C50 is superb to my 4550 and 4540!!!

I have 4 sets of new dura ace wheels.

1 set of c60 9270 tubeless
1 set of c36 9270 tubular

1 set of c50 9200 tubular
1 set of c36 9200 tubular

all are great riding wheels, with the rim brake c50s being my favorites. I have no discernable freehub bidy play at all. Im either very luck or the play, if real is only in the ultegra hubs.

What's the braking like on the 9200 wheels? Is the brake track the same as on the 9100 wheels or have they improved it at all?

I use campy red pads and braking is good, for me anyway. I really like the feel of rim brakes over disc in general.

I dont think there is any new tech in the brake track as they look identical to the c40 9100 tubs i have.
The main improvement is the rim being painted matt black, which avoids the peeling clear coat of previous gen wheels.

What's the POE for the freehub on the new DA hubs in the 9200 wheels?

Personally I would prefer DT Swiss for a fair few reasons:

1. Shimano company often slow to change/adapt and have narrow rims etc
2. Cartridge bearings on DT Swiss are near flawless go on for years and are no hassle, although Shimano cup and cone good for the home mechanic with lots of spare time, people that work long hours is just another thing on an already long 'to do' list.
3. Shimano often heavy and agricultural vs competition.
4. Shimano have annoying nipple sizes.
5. Not sure about carbon rims but with Shimano alloy tires like Conti even not tubeless versions fit very tight and are near impossible to fit by hand.

For Shimano: Tough, Strong, reliable Made in Malaysia or Japan and look good because they usually match your group-set.

Other than the matte finish, is the rim on the 9200 C36 tubulars the same as that on the 9100 C40 tubs?

Just a prompt that Wiggle/CRC currently have the whole range of 2022 Ultegra wheels on a big discount, working out at nearly 50% off when you buy the wheels separately, so £680 for a C50/60 pair.

The DA wheels are also discounted but not by as much.

I noticed the freehub body play also on a new exposed pair of ultegra wheels ....

Plus i don't think they have crash replacement
Wich is a must helas for carbon wheels now considering the roads, potholes etc

Plus at least on the older versions, freehubs were a sealed non serviceable unit, you had to throw away when it was done
And after a few years, for older c24 rims wheels, no more available and very expensive

So easy to not get them if you pay
If you are sponsored who give a shit

What tires have people found to be relatively easy to mount on these? I found the Corsa Nexts to be quite challenging.

Hi,

May i ask you the actual weight of the C36 disc tubulars?

As the weigth indication on shimano seems impressively low (522+623) even compared to rim versions
