Finally installed my power cups (28mm).. 3k miles on the 5000sTR and rode through a field of glass on the weekend so it was time.
Went on without a hitch but failed at the AirLiner install (again).. too much faff to worry about it. Hopefully they will feel great at the wednesday night practice crit.

S TR also has the puncture resistance of TT tires according to BRR scores. I see zero reason to stick with that tire anymore over Power Cup or Corsa Pro.
me too, altough they are overall also very good tires. But the PowerCups and Corsa Pro just feel much better.

Puncture resistance on the center tread of a tubeless tire is a red herring IMO. I’ve only had problems with two tires, the Corsa Speeds and the Pro One TTs. I’ve never had puncture problems with GP5K S TRs. Sealant generally does its job.

Sidewall durability is more important as is tread coverage.

What measure do you recommend on a 21 mm internal rim considering the small tread of the tyre? 25 or 28?

I would always choose 28mm - we are not in 2015 :D

What roads quality do you ride, how wide is your rim external width?

that is the only place I get punctures (center).. I have had no sidewall issues since turbo cotton days.

I have 28 mm on a second set of wheels but I like 25 mm on the set I'm using mostly now for criterium/granfondo.
My only concern was about puncture, is there any difference between 25 and 28 considering the tread?

It's fun racing well above your Cat and trying to hang on.

after a few days and ~100mi. Still plush ride.
Crit, and a couple punchy group rides.
No discoloration due to orange seal
but they do lose a little psi sitting around

You are running a 28 mm tyre on a 23 mm internal rim, right?
Still confused about BRR side thread warning but want to try Michelin on Reserve wheels (23/22 internal) instead of the usual GP 5000 S TR.

correct 28mm tire on 23mm internal rim. I've done 1 crit, but surface is good on the practice course, so I dont worry too much.
