If Cofidis is using Corima clincher rims they are 16C but they are likely using tubulars.TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 7:32 pmAs for Cofidis, I’ll have to take a look at race media, but I imagine they’re either riding 19C rims or the tubular version of the tire, which may come up smaller. That and I’m guessing they swap out tires way more often than people who have to pay for theirs.

Also, status update. Maybe I'm just transforming my blackwalls into tanwalls?

Have had good experiences in the past getting tires warrantied.

Good idea, if only to get their official stance on expected WAM and whether they condone installation on rims >19C.
Cofidis mostly use tubulars, Corima wheels are 26mm wide.
On training or in few races they used the tires versions and no problem has been reported. Now Corima wheels are 19c meaning the tire will be less “stretched” than on a 21 or 23c. They will also replace their tires more frequently than us…

My Michelin Power Cup clinchers have finally arrived easiest tyres I have ever installed. On my Roval Rapide CLX's 21mm internal front 25mm weighs 222g @80 psi measures 28mm, rear 28mm weighs 241g @80 psi measures 30mm they both have RideNow TPU tubes installed.
Seems to both tyres are more than 8% off specifications?

So mine have arrived, 25c clincher. On my Mavic Cosmic Elites (30mm deep) alloy that are supposed to have 15 internal but measure at 14.6 by my calipers they measure 25.23mm by calipers at 85 psi while the 26c turbo cottons I removed measured 25.57mm at the same pressure. The tread on the Turbo Cottons is ~1mm wider than the Power Cups, 28mm vs 27mm by comparing the width of the black on the tanwalls while the tires are un inflated and not on the bike.
Won't get an outdoor ride in until Monday but I do favour the looks of these tanwalls, they look more natural than either the cream or transparent Contis, the Pirelli Tans or the Turbo Cottons, with Turbo cottons probably being my next favourite in terms of looks.
The snapped on with thumbs, didn't need a lever which was my biggest fear with trying GP5000s was road side changes (I've heard they are especially bad on Mavic wheels).

I mounted 25mm Power Cups on 20mm ID rims and they measure 28.4mm at 75psi. They installed really easy, hold air well, and seem fast. However, they're a bit squirrelly when really leaning into corners. I'm almost slid out a couple times after hitting road debris during turns.
Are those the 23mm internal width bontragers? If so what does a 25mm tire measure?TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 9:26 pm
Yep, they're still on tubs.
