emm, Vision is the worst in the bunch actually, but not many people buy that wheel AFAIK.

And the 454?

Given the 454 is 53/58mm deep, I'd expect it to be slower than the 60mm+ wheels in the test.
Let me share the data here.

model, aero, stablity (lower the better), stiffness, weight
New DA C60., 216.3W, 6..., 55/46, 1638g
Metron 60....., 217.4W, 8..., 42/39, 1652g
454 NSW......., 217.3W, 6..., 48/44, 1380g
RSL 62.........., 216.4W, 4..., 55/44, 1538g
WTO 60........., 218.1W, 9..., 50/49, 1540g
ARC1100 62., 216.1W, 6..., 54/49, 1698g
How was this tested?

All these wattage (aero) measurements look like they fall in the margin of error, even for a top wind tunnel. For some wind tunnels this is c. 5w-10w, or more for automotive, or aerospace wind tunnels.

Weight on the other hand...
On the claimed wattage i totally agree with you, on my case it was more the stability values that got me wondering. The difference between the worst and the best is more than double, how does the scale works is something a bit more fuzzy for me... if anybody wants to chime in with the criteria used, i'm all ears.

On the weight side, from what i have been checking, the Metron 60 for example is claimed to be 200gr lighter on the manufacturer website than on the Tourmagazin test.

I actually pre-ordered a set of Metron 60, but after seeing the data you shared with us, i am really thinking on cancelling it...

Did they tested all the wheels with 25mm tires?
I think it was done with 25mm but I didn't find the tire size in the wheel test chapter. They mentioned nowadays wider wheels work well with even 28/30 mm tires. Maybe I missed something since I used google translate to read.
Above all, thank you for sharing.

In all ignorant honesty i guess a 28 is never going to improve the values on any of those wheels, but i might be wrong (probably not).

Can you share the link for this test? Even having to pay for this report/test from Tour Magazin could be a helpful read considering that i am on the same boat as the OP and wheels nowadays are so similar to each other performance wise.

so bonty's rsl are more aero/stable the dimpled/sawtooth/overhyped zipp's. the decline of zipp is complete.

The Zipp is probably the second best wheelset in that round-up. It's just ~1W slower with a much shallower depth and 158g lighter than the next lightest wheelset. It's tied for the second in stability according to Tour, though I'm not even sure what kind of scale they are using or if wheel speed or different tires could nominally shuffle the order. The Zipp is also likely to suffer the least with 28mm tires mounted.

The price is a sore spot, though Zipp has lifetime free crash replacement while Bontrager only has two year terms. I wonder how the 404 FC would do...

Based on Tour's numbers, the WTO 60 and Metron 60 are the real disappointments.

It's in the current issue 1/2022.

Another option, FFWD Ryot77s. 21mm internal, 31mm external, transition with a 25mm GP5K is perfect. For a really deep wheel, they handle surprisingly well in the wind, the blunted designs seem to do better with crosswinds. I’m using mine as a daily wheelset with no issues (caveat, I’m 84kg and used to riding 56mm wheels daily, the Ryots actually handle better).

It's it a bit strange to make assumptions about the ARC1400 80s based on the data from the ARC1100 62s?
The arc dicut 1100 is totally out of stock everywhere so not a choice
Are you in the USA? I see them when I do a quick search in Europe.

You cannot remove them but they are not really white. If you look at the photos in this review you can see what I mean. https://bikerumor.com/ride-impressions- ... -the-hype/

While mine are shallower, I've been on the Aeolus 3 D3TLR since 2015. These are rim brake run tubed with latex for over 60 thousand miles. I'm an ex pro wheelbuilder and not a big Trek fan, but the carbon on these rims and the ride quality/acceleration has been so good. I've ridden a lot of rims and would choose Bontrager every time.

Have about 1000mi on my RSL62s and resonate with others reporting phenomenal results. I am 186cm/77kg and have no issues even on the gustiest of days on the NJ shore. Running with 27mm Enve SES tires, they have sufficient grip through the corners descending compared to my other two setups with the same tires (Bora WTO45 and Bontrager XXX4/6 rim brake). My set with rim "tape" (bontrager tubless insert) and valves was 1530g. Can't speak to speed as I don't have another wheelset to test them against on my bike.
