Wow, still looks great! With Orange Seal, how much did you place inside? How much PSI loss do you get overnight? Also, how long before you have to put more? I heard the tire has issues with certain sealants but Orange (regular) is good

Thank you, now have a good baseline of what to expect with the tire/Orange Sealant. It's Summer/hot here where I live so likely will need to replenish faster once I start losing psi in the 5-8 range.

Data point:

Just put a GP5000S TR on my DB Bora WTO. Easy to get on, with minimal use of tyre lever. Pumped up and held air straight away with Black & Decker compressor. Now has 30ml of Effetto Marriposa sealant.

The tyre measures 25.1mm on the Bora's 19mm internal width.

Question:

What pressure are people running on the TR front fitting for fast road riding? I weigh 62.5kg and run 90psi on a tubed 25mm tyre.

83.9 Kg and run 85-88psi front and 90-93psi rear with 25mm GP5KS tubeless

81kg and doing 90 front and 90 rear. Awesome ride quality.

Silca has probably one of the best tire pressure calculators as it draws from a very large database of real world testing.

Note, I'm guessing the results are for the least rolling resistance, not specifically comfort, although best RR might also provide the best comfort at the end of the day.

Just received a pair of 25mm GP5000S TR Transparent (my second set of the same) @ 252g and 253.8g with bands and paper removed. One is marked 0322, the other is not marked.

Photo of the interior is attached - I believe these look the same as the previous pair from Nov. 2021, but I'm not going to unmount them right now to verify. Image

They indeed suggest a pressure that will show the lowest rolling (hysteresis loss) and vibration (impedance loss) power dispersion.

It avoids over inflating to the point it generates more impedance loss and discomfort.

You can perfectly go lower, it will improve comfort and grip but will lose some W in the trade.

I run 50 (F) and 55 (R) on a Zipp 303 Firecrest for a 28mm GP5000 STR. 66kg.

You can try SRAM's calculator as an alternative too.

For a 28mm, I'm at 45psi front, 48psi rear. 67kg

Seems like many are running much higher pressure. I started high(er) and gradually lowered it to see how much difference it made. Grip seemed better for me at the low end including comfort, so I'm at the lower end of the scale.

Thanks for your responses, much appreciated.

I went out for a first ride around Kingston upon Thames with the GP5000S TR 25mm tyres on Bora WTOs. Front 90psi, Back 95psi.

First impression is low rolling resistance and great comfort. I got a few PRs on fast segments 25mph+ and love how the tyres damp out vibrations from bad road surfaces. They are a magic carpet ride compared to Rubino Pros! :D

As with many Conti tyres they do have the characteristic of reducing road feel and making the ride a bit wooden. Night and day compared to Corsa tubs. But certainly fast and comfortable over a long distance.

Will try lower pressure next ride but actually could run them at 100psi all day!

Different pressures for different situations. I would DNF most local road races with this configuration...and I weigh 64kg currently.
