Sorry to resurrect this thread but curious to know if anyone has actually run the 28mm version of these tyres on Giants hookless wheels. The guidleines are definitely missleading and I have two of these tyres and have just bought a Gaint ...

Didn't notice any general topic about tires. If it is one, sorry, I couldn't find it.

Pirelli P Zero, non TLR, has changed from 25c to 26c. Also, anyone notice that the 26c and 28c versions are at version 2 now? I saw a lot of different online shops in the late 2022 with the "NEW' 26c and 28c tires from Pirelli. The old 26c and 28c tires are at 127TPI and the newer ones are 120TPI, same details (weight 205/225 grams, compund, construction, rim width 19c, etc).

The same thing it's for Pirelli P Zero Race 4S, for both tires width 26c and 28c, from 127TPI to the newer 120TPI, with the same details (weight 240/260grams, compund, construction, rim width 19c, etc).

The new 2022 version is that those tires are now manufactured in their new bollate factory in Italy. It is Pirelli plan to produce most of their tires directly from their own factory in Italy.

Guy, i need some help here.

I got these pzero tubeless tires and afer installing and inflating them (without sealant), so they can "seat" properly, they got "glued" to the carbon rims! I can't even find a way to take them off. Plus, i'm at home. How am i supposed to put a tube inside in case i get a flat 50km from home?! Pirelli?!

Lol, put some elbow grease into your fingers and push one side of the sidewalls into the center of the rim bed. Nothing is glued....go watch a YT video if your overwhelmed. It's possible you had sealant from a prior tire still on the rim when you installed the new Pirellis ? Take the wheel to your bike shop if you still cant unseat the tire and I guarantee you the mechanic will have the tire off in 15 seconds with only his hands.

False alarm. Not glue, just a hump Now, how can i or a mechanic take the tire bead over that hump, is something to guess. I just tried with pliers.

I have been running the 28 mm version on Zipp 303 firecrest that are hookless with 25mm inner rim width without any issues

I have one on my WR50 front. 25int hookless.
31mm wide.

Pretty wide. My rims now are 23mm inner so likely those 28mm will be around 30.2 or something.
Looks like I better fit the 26mm on those 23mm inners that will likely blow up to something like 29 or so.

Anyone using 26mm on 21mm inner? Hopeing to find a good match for my 28mm outer width.

Yes had it on duke wheels which I'm now changing from inner 21mm to 23mm and blow close to 28mm
Initially they where 27.6mm but after some seating they are more like 28mm
Going to fit them to the 23mm with 29.4mm rims and see if it works out

WR50s are 32 ext so it works.
Yes the wide rims = wide tyres. It also means lower pressure given they are so voluminous. Works for hookless.

Fitting 26mm Pirelli today on my new duke 23mm inners. They blow up to 28.8 more or less. They are are already stretched as they come of my previous set.
However tried ERE Research 28mm tires which are also 28.7mm ! Total height was lower on the ERE 28mm compared to the 26mm Pirelli's (Italian version)

Go figure about sizing of tires. Those ERE make the nicest transition between tire and rim. Also the thread is wide

What wheelset is it? Did you have this trouble with any other tyres on the same wheelset? I have some Alexrims CF45 that came with my 2020 Focus Izalco 8.7 and any tyre would be a pain to remove. There might be a trick to it, but the beads are really really difficult to get out of the wheel rim.
