I'm looking to build some lightweight / aero wheels. Duke Baccara X rims seem to be a big step ahead of others in terms of weight while still maintaining strength.
Duke Baccara X 42mm - 380g - 120kg
Duke Baccara X 48mm - 406g - 120kg
Is anyone else making rims this deep/light without dropping the weight limits below 100kg?

It is massively known that many good built brands offer rims manufacured by LB who makes pretty good stuff for years. No a secret there. Those brands have different concentration on their products and people like what they offer in sorts of ways. No matter Duke or LB people choose to buy from, they are nice hit too. Duke's are doing a very good job at local service in Europ.
Don't worry about these family ethics.

Farsports. EIE has some you might likejs wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 6:22 pmI'm looking to build some lightweight / aero wheels. Duke Baccara X rims seem to be a big step ahead of others in terms of weight while still maintaining strength.

Thanks - I'm looking for rim-only, so Farsports doesn't work, but EIE definitely have some options that are very close to the Duke offerings. They may be a few grams heavier, but they're also a few hundred cheaper, which gives a few extra ways to buy that weight back.
Just wanted to follow up today after receiving a few EIE rims for building.
Firstly, thanks to Toxin for pointing me in that direction.
The new ARG rims have 23-24mm internal widths and great weights with 130kg weight limits. I opted for the 45mm depth, with all four rims coming in at or under the expected 400g weight for the SL build.

One important point that isn't clear on the website, the rims are 30mm at the beads, but round to 32mm at their max width, which should in theory boost both aerodynamics and crosswind performance.
Quality out of the box looks great. I'm looking forward to building these up and can report back (maybe in an EIE thread) about build quality and eventually ride quality - though I'm in Canada, so that last one may take a few months.
