Seems like they got a bit coky after the success hit. Main reason for me to go with CHinese direct-to-consumer was the good service experience. Guess thas not holding true to Winspace anymore

Joe and a bunch of other employees did leave the company a couple years ago because they didn't like where they were headed

Interestingly inconsistent experience of Winspace customer service here. I just contacted them via chat about a warranty issue with a set of Hyper 67 wheels (crunchy bearings in rear after only 2000km) and I got this:

In my experience Chinese ceramic bearings are the worst. I had crunchy bearings on my Winspace and farsports wheels after less than 1000km.

Local Winspace retailer offered to replace them but I declined and slapped on some Enduro and NTN bearings which have no problems to date.

Speaking of bearings I have a freehub that decides to barf pawls when it feels like it. Anyone else seen this issue? I've looked at a few pages on this thread, but not all 90....

Thanks!

Can anyone recommend which pads to use with Hyper SE rim brake wheels?

The overwhelming consensus seems to be the pads supplied by Winspace are the best, and they are what I've always used, but they don't sell replacements sets on their site.

I was thinking of replacing them with Campag Red pads, as they seem to have the best braking performance, but I've heard they run considerably hotter than others, such as the SwissStop Black Prince. Wear/longevity is not a concern to me, as I'd rather wear through pads frequently, rather than increase the risk of rim damage.

Hi guys, I'm waiting on an order of the R45 Hyper 23 (21mm IW / 27.6 EW). From many on this thread it appears the Conti GP5000 STR measures at ~27.5mm when installed. I really love the look of the "cream" walled tyres over the tanned. Has anyone installed the Corsa Pro 26mm tyre on these? Or even the Challenge Criterium RS? Both have great reviews and look fantastic compared to the tanned walls, and are meant to offer a more plush ride than the conti's with a higher thread count. TIA.

Black Prince here as well since 1,5 years. Absolutely no problems. It works.
Edit: I do have the Hyper 23, not the SE.

Thanks guys, I'll grab a set when it comes time to replace the WinSpace pads.
