Hi sorry for the Noob question, looking at ordering some wheels from Farsports shop.

Has anyone used the $50 euro zone duty prepaid option at checkout? Is it accepted by customs in the UK or do you still end up paying duty on the receiving end?

Is this Kaze worth around 200$ more (same hub) than this Alps wheels on their web:

What width is recomended for 25mm tyres?

This cheaper (Alps series) ones, is that "U" or "V" shape?

Just for info, did Farsports have better quality check than Light Bicycle?
Between this two brands, which one is better?

But, my main question is did Kaze worth this around 200$ more for same depth, same hubs?
Is that 200$ more for better breaking surface, better quality check...?

Did Alps series have ok breaking surface or Kaze is much better with this new breaking surface (and what is after all that HMX and ATA breakin surface?)?
On Alps is basalt breaking surface?

I have had that exact wheelset in the link since January. They have been great. Braking in the wet was horrible at first but since then I think my pads have bedded in and I've gotten used to the rims.

I'm running 25mm GP4000s which stretch to about 27mm. Yes, I know there is a small aero penalty for that but you can barely tell that the tire is wider than the rim. If the roads were smoother around here I'd use 23mm tires that stretched to 25mm.

Farsports seems to have no information on their web site with regards to HMX and ATA. All I see are little slits cut into the top layer of resin like Campagnolo does. Maybe they go deeper? I don't think they could possibly be worth an extra $200.

New Kaze wheels are wider (around 28 mm) and they have that new breaking surface.
You can get them with that marble effect but I'm more for classic 3k look or something similar.
I'm using 25mm tyres on my Bianchi (for now there is some default trash of Vittoria that I get them with bike but with new wheels I'm buying new tyres. What ones? Depends of what wheels I will take and what width will have wheels. I have really great experience with Continental GP 4000 but yes, they are wide around 27-28 mm in 25C version. They have that baloon look but they are great.).
In my case, I don't know if is ok to take wider rim than tyre?
It will be great if Farsports support can tell us here why is new wheels around 200$ more expensive and really, what is that HMX and ATA breaking surface?

I have the same wheels in the link. I'm using Campagnolo red pads.

One thing I would caution people on is buying a tubeless rim for using with non-tubeless tires. It takes 120psi to seat a GP4000 on this rim. I have yet to experience this on the road side but I fear that I may end up with a wobbly tire after a flat because my mini pump can't get to 120psi. Maybe a good amount of talc on the tube would help the tire seat with less pressure.

That said, I'm going to try the GP5000 tubeless next and see how that goes.

Been using farsports 50mm tubeless wheelset no holes in rim bead for about 3months 600ks or so. No dramas at all, still run true.
Seem a good strong wheelset. Going to buy a second set maybe 30 or 38s in November when they have their 11/11/19 sale.

Rim cost is much higher since new material is used and ATA is made for the KAZE series. And Kaze Series only build with high end hubs to match the rims.

It's around 1440g/set+/-30g for 24H/24H Version. DT240S version will be 50g/set lighter

Yes, without spoke holes, it's 20g-30g/set heavier, but no need rim tape. So the weight we calculated is similar.
Shipping to Europe, we normally use duty prepaid service, our forwarder will pay the tax/duty.
