Interested in knowing if any WW member has ridden LB "Flyweight" rims, and can comment on durability ?
Louis :)
@Louis, if you are still wondering about Flyweight, I have another data point for you.

Today on a quick technical descent I absolutely smashed a 3cm x 7 cm rock at about 50 km/h. It was a piece of slate so pretty square edges. Nothing round about it. It was a super bright day with the rock hiding in a dark shadow. It was a really violent impact and a nasty rim strike. I had the bike leaned over as I was just exiting a chicane so the impact was concentrated on one side. I though I was a dead man. The front bounced sideways, grabbed, and almost high sided me. I went totally slack and let the bike do it's thing for a second, and then brought it to a stop asap. I was half way off before it stopped moving lol. I was expecting the wheel to collapse in a small pile of carbon dust. But F-ME! No puncture and no broken rim! Even a sudden flat at that spot and no way I keep it on the road - I would be in the trees. Miss the trees and I am off a cliff onto rocks.

There have been fatalities on this piece of road, and many serious injuries. Dense forest, zero shoulder, zero bailout spots, trees right to the tarmac edge, single lane, blind corners galore. An ordinary puncture in the wrong spot can mean disaster. I have never broken a carbon rim, but I have demolished good alloy wheels from half the impact. So whoever you are at Light Bicycle who made this rim, thanks for doing it well.

WR50 Flyweight. 28mm Conti GP5000 TR, 63psi.
Nice. Handling sounds expert as well.

I've had a set of WR50 Flyweights for a bit over two years. Built 24H F/R on DT240s with CX-Rays, and rims cherry-picked from stock for the lowest weight, they came in at 1,352 grams on my scale. They've seen duty on my then N=1 Cervelo Aspero, my now N+1 Gen4 Supersix Evo HM, plus a few outings on my Crux to see how it would work on a quick group ride (pretty well!). Haven't tracked wheel-specific mileage, but they've seen somewhere in the range of 15-16,000 km. I've always run 28mm GP5K's on them, first TLR and now S-TR, in the 55-65 PSI range depending on type of ride and expected surfaces. I'm light at 6.6-6.9 kg, but they've held up great so far; haven't had to touch a spoke to date. So a pretty perfect score on the durability front... So far!

Is there any reason to go for the AR375 over the WR40 if you can fit a WR40?

375 only 10g lighter.
21/28/30 (inner/outer/max)
vs
25/32

Any advantage to the shape of the 375?

375 could in theory be marginally more aero but in real world the difference is probably meaningless

21mm int width provides the flexibility of being able to use 25mm tires.

WR40 - comfier, more aero, greater crosswind stability, larger tire volume and hence probably lower rolling resistance. WR40 front + WR45/50 rear could be nice IMO

Also, the deeper the rim the stiffer the wheel would be, so there would be a power transfer benefit, except aero benefit, for going deeper on the rear

Similar question. I'm building an Aethos and debating b/w AR465 vs WR40 (240 hubs).

I plan to use 30 / 32 clincher tires on these so curious which you guys think would be better? Seemed like the AR465 get a lot of love on here.

For 30 and 32 clincher I would go for WR. The GP5000 32mm is spot on 33mm and GP5000S TR is 34.4mm on WR.

I was quoted 4-5 weeks production time and 1-2 weeks delivery.

For some reason I was expecting way less. Is this typically how long it's taken you guys to receive a wheelset?

Yes, 4-5 weeks of lead time is typical LB custom wheels.

1-2 weeks delivery?
That's quick.
More like a full month for shipping alone since I use cheapest sea shipping to USA.
