I can see a lot of people wanting hooked, however, it would also allow LB to offer a comparable wheelset to the likes of Roval Rapide CLX II, ENVE 4.5, and Reserve 52/63 where currently they don't. I asked them and they've said it is something that they'd offer if there were enough demand so if anyone else likes the idea message them asking and if enough of us do perhaps a Falcon Pro WR65 will happen!Jasonlelam wrote: ↑Thu Dec 15, 2022 2:02 amThat is a cool combo. They are good at custom work and very nice to anwer questions straightforward. Why not just asking them simply? If I can recall properly, the Falcon Pro could also have coating job on it that would come out with the same finish as Falcon. But the reversal does not work (Falcon is not able to convert to Falcon Pro). So you could have your hooked WR50/WR65 both in matte/glossy or any other coated finishes except for the uncoating one/paintless. And personally I am a little bit old school to see commentional hooked ones may fit much more riding scenarios.

Are there actual weights for hooked vs hookless LB Falcon Pros? They don't claim the hookless versions (when available) are any lighter, and if they aren't lighter or cheaper, then there's pretty much zero reason to go hookless.

Hookless may well give a better tire to rim profile and so be more aerodynamic, no?TobinHatesYou wrote: ↑Sat Dec 17, 2022 4:23 amAre there actual weights for hooked vs hookless LB Falcon Pros? This has been tested recently, but I can’t remember by who. They found no measurable aero benefit.
Meanwhile there’s this: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CkcPBX5pspk/
Guy says he aired up a 353 NSW to 80psi (7psi over specified max) and a GP5K blew off after an hour.
I recently ordered a R88 front and a Ufo Disc wheel rear. The rear wheel is without any decals and the front has white standard decals. I'm starting to feel unsure about the looks of this combination and maybe should have ordered the front without decals as well. I would like to know if anyone in here has tried to remove the painted lightbicycle decals from the rim? Is it possible to do this without damaging the rim itself by using something like paint stripper?

There should be clear coat cover the rim surface including where the decal sits, so it will damage the rim if you have to remove the decal. Why not asking Light Bicycle for sending you white stickers to put on the rear wheel so as to match the front one?

Received the AR25 + Carbon-Ti with closed rim bed wheelset I ordered a little bit before Black Friday.
Weight is 467 grams front + 574 grams rear = 1041 grams total

Anyone here with Flyweights that is sailing close to or above the 90kg weight limit?
Would increasing the spoke number (e.g. from 24/24 to 28/28) help to balance out the potentially too weak rim?

Higher spoke count means each spoke will be stressed less when pedal force is applied. That means each spoke will have less chance to lose tension and hence less chance to break due to fatigue. But that doesn't improve the strength of the rim to withstand the system weight, maybe the rim will deform less between the spoke holes (that's why the old wheels had 32 spokes with soft rim)... what do you think?
