You are a huge farsports enthusiast, but as far as rim quality is concerned, the Falcon Pro x-flow AR stuff is very good. I assume WR is similar. Full builds and OE hubs I wouldn't know. Their rim layup and drilling methods are fantastic. Try them and be converted.Agent041 wrote:Which model of LightBicycle wheels, are now considered as top road model? Comparable with Farsports S EVO and Hypers with carbon spokes on wheelsfar.

It is most likely I will go for Farsports this time as well, but I am looking at (reliable) options. What is even the differance between AR and WR?wheelbuilder wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 2:48 amYou are a huge farsports enthusiast, but as far as rim quality is concerned, the Falcon Pro x-flow AR stuff is very good. WR is 25i 32w in various depths
Both available with or without xflow
I would start with which tyre you want to run and then what width and depth rim you want to decide the model.

My WR40 wheels showed up yesterday. Ordered on 13/11 so pretty quick turnaround. The wheels were assembled really quickly and I can't see any issues with them. I've chosen to use 30mm S Works Turbo tyres with TPU tubes. They come up at around 31mm and I imagine they'll baloon out a little more after a few rides. Installed on my Specialized Aethos and no issues with clearance at all. I did ask that they tried to select a lighter rim from the production line but they did end up coming in a smidge over the estimated weight. It is what it is - I certainly didn't buy these wheels specifically for their lightweight properties!
Turbo 50 in satin. I'm stupid as I forgot they should be paintless, so each rim is 430 g instead of 410 g.
EXS hub 24/24 with Ti freehub, 290g. Alu freehub is 10 g lighter, so why not more robust.
Super cx-ray on front non-disc side, cx-ray on front disc side. Sprint on rear drive side and ray on rear disc side.

some brief review of the Turbo 50
boy do they feel like riding on 25-30mm depth wheels. The really do feel great when it's windy. I'm still waiting for the gibli g10 (rollseyes) so I can compare them to my other wheels, but for now they are a great fun to ride. I run 30mm GP5k Clinchers for the front and rear on both of these. I kinda regret not going for the taller Turbo 65 for these but I wanted the 10th gen TCR to still be an all rounder.
overall they don't "feel" like their depth at all, unlike the AR565 and AR56.

When does EXS release their hub?
All 3 or just LB/Farsports?
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike
Aero bike | GC bike | GC rim bike | Climbing bike | Climbing rim bike | Classics bike | Gravel bike | TT bike | Indoors bike
I'm not sure if they will sell the hub seperately. The hub has been a long delay due to manufacture issue.
\ EXS and Farsports offices are 100% in the same building. LB is either in the same building or in the next building. They told me but I forgot the detail.
LB has been fast to develop a deeper wider gravel race wheel to compete with the Zipp 303 XPLR, just announcing the WG55. I believe this is the closest competitor to date.
55mm deep
40mm wide at the widest point
37mm wide at the rim tyre interface
32mm internal width, with a mini hook
Standard weight 460g, Flyweight only 400g!

Looking for some rider feedback. I'm after building up a lightweight climbing wheelset for my sl8. I have been looking at the Ar25 rims, with carbon spokes and the LB hub suitable for the carbon spokes. Weight comes in at an impressive 935g approx. Rim tape on top.
Couple of questions.
1) I want to run the AR25 with clincher tyres and tubes as I will not use these all the time. So couldn't be bothered with all the faff of cleaning out sealant and sealant going hard with inconsistent use. Can the AR25 be used with clincher tyres and tubes? I'm just a little concerted that the hybrid hook is only suitable for tubeless tyres. If this is the case. I will have to go back to the drawing board.
2) does anyone have this exact configuration and can give me any feedback about the wheelset as a whole.
Thanks in advance.

I would not run a regular tubed clincher on the AR25s, and I would stick to the 70psi maximum with a tubed tubeless tire.
