Im thinking of building some 55mm clinchers on some CK hubs I already have. Are Light Bicycle rims okay?

I also have a set of the 36mm LB wheels. 6000km in, very happy.
Light Bicycle have a newer 56mm deep rim> It's 30mm wide for better aero, almost as wide as the 64mm deep 32mm wide wheels Cannondale just released. You'll need a new frame to have 30mm clearance.

If you have the frame clearance, that would be the better choice, but if you don't enough clearance, the 55mm rim will work, but don't go wider than 23mm tyres.

I ve just read some bad things here about some Chinese companies not sending warranty replacements. Are Light Bicycle reputable or is it a risk?

The company that involved in reports that they do not sending waranty replacement (reported in "Open mold wide profile carbon wheels" topic) is Farsport.
Light-Bicycle has pretty much perfect record so far. (as far as i know)
EDIT in 2019: clearify the statement to be extra clear. I got dispute on page 5 of this topic.

What rim brakes are you using with these LightBicycle wr56 rims?
My KCNC CB1 certainly won't take that wide, I think 25mm is about as wide as I can go.
What would be a replacement as light as these? 165g for the pair.

Are they wr56 rim brake? If so, which brakes do you use? Thanks

One set rim braked - use DA9000 c red Campy pads. They are a little noisy but brake almost as well as alloy rims in the dry, slightly less so in the wet but I try and avoid using them if rain is likely.

Thanks! I'll do some thinking to make a decision. Been thinking about these, yoeleo, or being the first on this forum to get some BTLOS wheels.

I checked a pair of Campagnolo Skeleton brakes I have here, I had forgotten about then. They certainly can manage 30mm wide rims, just not sure about the arm legth since in a more open position it effectively gets shorter. But these are the non-series ones and a cheap long arm shimano pair should weight about the same.
So... In my place would you keep the KCNC CB1 and "risk" BTLOS 60 or swap brakes and get LB56 but add 200g to the bike? Well, actually 130g is more likely because I'd probably go for 80mm btlos rear wheel with 60 front. And then maybe I can get some lighter wide brakes later (EE's are too pricey for my taste!).

And one thing about LB: If you are not a too heavy rider, you can always ask to get some rims that are on the lower end of the stated tolerance. So I ended up with 1.300g wheels (36x28mm rim/X-Hubs/CX-Ray), so far trouble free.

Interesting. I've been floating from 60 to 65 during this year, but mostly under 63, and aiming to get at 60 again (hopefullly stay there). How much do your rims weight?
