I had received (due to crash replacement) the Alround 49/54 with steel spokes. They were around 30-50g heavier than specefied on their web-site. Cannot remember exactly. I sold them rurther, so cannot weight them again. So not exact listed weight, but still in those limitation range that almost all brands say.

Was rim tape installed, though? I think the listed weights are without tape

One was, one was not. They have seperate boxes for front and rear, as these can also be sold seperatly. Rear was obviously assembled seperate and was sent without the tape. But front (received few days later), had the tape. The front was probably just taken from the store, as it was also suplied with their valve system (weight not included), while the rear wheel came without anything. So to answer the weight regarding rim tape, you can probably take off 5-10g for the rim tape.

Total weight is 1097g including tape.
Front is 496g
Rear is 601g

Just a photo for reference how the c.35/c.38 look on a bike. Two rides with them and so far quite happy. S-Works 30mm tubeless tires been mounted easily. When mounted tire width is measured at 30.45mm. Valve system is also good and easy to use.

Could you tell something more about radial stiffness? Compare with other brands?

Just saw their factory tour video after their Insta post. Kudos to them for making the Vonoa hubs in Europe and doing the assembly in Germany for this price point.

Would be more interesting to get more information about reliability concerning the hubs. I am not willing to spend nearly 1800,- EUR for an wheelset which will last 3000-4000km only.

In the worst case, you swap the bearings and add the MTB end caps. Shouldn't be a deal breaker. But so far it looks like it also won't be needed.

No argument, for example, I own a Roval CL50 Disc wheelset for about 7 years now and no issues so far after nearly 75000 km. And my Campa Levante wheelset for around 1000,- EUR, 2 years old, within the 3rd winter now and 27500km old, also no issues so far.

So swapping weared bearings after 4000-5000km is't an option.

Kinda love at first sight when I saw these in your build thread. I'm a huge fan of how deep wheels look and have vowed to never run anything shallower than 45mm (which I think looks way weaker than 50mm which I think looks nowhere near as rad as 65mm), but these rims have changed my mind.

I think it's the fat spokes (and that there's fewer of them), and visually I appreciate the hidden valve too (less is more, though in this case it's more is more maybe as I like to check my pressures before every ride and it sounds like this will be more of a pain on these wheels).

R2 Bike has a rear in stock, but a front wheel is 3 months away. Just can't pull the trigger on them just yet, but they're now my #1 choice as a climbing/weenie set for my SL8 (which is currently on 1500g Roval Rapide CLX II's.
