Has anyone registered their wheels on the specialized site lately? In my case, after entering the serial number and date of purchase, the system accepted the registration, but I have neither the data of wheels loaded from the system nor their picture as it is, for example, in the registered bikes tab - do you have the same?

I recently (3 weeks ago) registered an S-Works Aethos and Alpinist CLX wheels using the QR codes. On the regsistered bikes it has a picture of my bike. On the registered wheels section it does have my wheels, but with a greyed-out image of the wheels. I don't remember it ever having a detailed photo of the wheels before.

My Rapide CLX II was the same.
My S-works came up with all the color / model etc info but the wheels didn't. I wouldn't worry about it.

Both bought this year. May and June I believe.

Has anyone measured a 30mm and a 32mm GP5000 on this wheelset?

Trying to figure out if 32mm will balloon beyond the 35mm external width of the front wheel. Also curious of the measured widths on the rear for these sizes.

On CLX1s here's what I measured:

32mm GP5000 rear tire 31mm 69 psi
29mm Aero111 front tire 28.4mm 78psi

Here is a post from another forum: note that the measured tyres are 5000 AS TR, not S TR.

GP5000 STR 30 inflated to 4 bars is 31mm WAM on a CLX II (Team Edition)

Hello,

I have new tarmac sl8 with Roval CLX II wheelset and the freehub sound is very quiet. A friend of mine has a set of Roval CLX gen I wheel and those are pretty loud. I was expecting the same with gen II version. Could it be due to that the weels are new and there is a lot of grase in it or it is expected to be so quiet? I have done only about 5 km on the bike so far, just to test it around the house.

I aslo have or had following wheelsets: Enve 4.5 (2022 mavic hub version), Bontrager Aelous Pro with DT 350 disc, Roval CLX 32 rim brake to name a few - just so you have a comparsion - all of them were not loud, but definitely louder than my CLX II.

Hi

I have Gen I which is loud and has been since new internals are the same / similar.

I'm fairly sure this will be due to a a liberal amount of grease inside the hub.

It’s just new and will get louder as it breaks in. If you really want to accelerate it, just clean out the ratchets and apply a thin layer of DT Swiss special grease.

Thanks for the reply. I tought this was the reason but was not sure. I'll guess I'll leave it as it is for now and will see after a few hundred kms.

Any rumours of CLX IIIs that adopt carbon spokes or some of the improvements made for the Team Edition? I can get a great deal on the current version, but it's difficult to decide if they're worth it v. Ascent 69s or something from LB/Farsport/etc. at current weight and depth.

I am very happy with my CLXII, but I think it's hard to say they're worth it when you can get frankly just as good wheels for almost half the price.

Yup, that's my dilemma. I have a team discount that brings them to within a couple hundred of CRWs and a few hundred cheaper than Ascents, which might be worth it for warranty and better hubs, but they're nearly 200g heavier. Have been holding out in hope they release a slimmed down set to follow up on the Team Edition, but it's been months now.
