Hey guys!
Does anybody have an idea where the actual price difference on the 42/49 with DT 350 and DT 180 comes from? The price difference of the wheelset in Europe is roughly 1000€ while the price difference of the hubs is approximately 250 to 300€. I was confused when checking the prices and was thinking about ordering the wheels and let them set up.

I finally got my hands on the 42/49 w/180 hubs. For comparison I also have the 4.5 w/180 hubs. Both are really good wheels.
The 42/49 are very stable in strong winds to a point where I don't worry about it at all. The 4.5s are also good in the wind but just a few notches below.
Lateral stiffness is similar with the 42/49 being a bit stiffer and making them feel like they have a little more snap to them out of the saddle.
The 4.5 are marginally quicker, maybe? It's very close and a difference that is not noticeable at all, but I'll need to do some testing before really knowing the answer here.
The Enve are hookless and the reserves are hooked. Both wheels with 30mm Pirelli tires are flush with the rims.
Again, both are great wheels, but I've been pleasantly surprised by the 42/49.

hmmm, for some reason if I select them, there is button buy now, but after clickink it, page just move up and nothing is happening.
no errors, no messages that they are out of stock.
would be curious to know your testing results ... and any other thoughts on the 42|49, really.
Apologies getting back just yet.
As of today I would pick the 42/49, nothing wrong with the deeper hoops, I love them, however my gut feeling is that for overall 42/49 would be better fit with slight margin for me, as I'm not riding exclusively on flat over 40-45 km/h avg every time...
From podcasts I heard and concluded that Visma also asked specifically for this mid-depht, and they seem to dominantly using them, as being light but having most of the aero gains from 40+ mm sections.

just not sure which I should go for. the 52|63 look so cool, but then I kinda think 42|49 should be better overall for me. My usual 90min ride might have something like 400-600m elevation with just rolling hills kinda thing.
I'm interested how they compare for exmaple with 303 FC, weight is similar.
How setup works with inner tubes, haven't seen anyone running inner tubes on IW 25mm rims
And maybe you have exact weight? how it differs from specified weight?
Awesome thanks mate. Just put in my order for a set. Should be here in October.RaffiCA wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 8:14 amApologies getting back just yet.
