Ryan, would be very curious to get your thoughts on Scope at some point. Some of the new hubs and offerings look quite interesting but I have yet to run into anyone who has used them yet. I will get some color from one of the Ineos guys later this year...

TR02 ar priced similarly to DT240s but are 25-30grams lighter at 275-280gms / set. They share the same internals as the TR01 with a different axle, and use j bend spokes instead of straight pull. The flanges are machined to follow the spokeline from hub to rim, which is presumably stronger? TR01 use a threaded stainless C-clamp preload adjuster which simplifies set up compared to the TR01.
As long as you use tubeless ready tires and do not exceed the hookless maximum psi the tubes are fine. Just don't put regular clincher tires as they are not compatible. Also, the rims are still hookless, so that has its own limitations and problems. But if you already get to that point there is really no good reason to use tubes. You only need to put in sealant the first time you install the tires and will achieve the same result as if you had a tube in there. Plus without the tube you are less prone to pinch flats.
Using hookless wheels with tubeless tires and throwing in tubes doesn't add any protection or safety, it actually just makes everything worse: more weight, increased rolling resistance, decreased puncture protection.
I've gone through wheels from Reynolds, Campagnolo, Roval and Princeton. The finishing work on the PCW's were right up there with Campaganolo. QC is high. Performance is immediately apparent. They are stiff and spin up fast. On my 6560 I still deal with some crosswinds, nothing I can't handle in 30-35 km/h winds but enough to make me a little nervous when descending. For now I have Roval 38mm's for windy days but thinking of consolidating wheels and getting 4550 Peak Evo one day.

Tactic TR01 is actually made and designed by NonPlus which is much less expensive? https://nonpluscomponents.com/blog/pres ... august2024

I used to run zipp 404 fc/hookless with hookless tire + TPU tubes. No issue at all as long as you don't push psi higher than limit. I don' t feel significant performance difference btw tube vs tubeless. A TPU tubes might create more harshness but not much.
I m about to do the same on Enve 4.5 SES due to i m weekend rider and not fan of tubeless maintenance system too.
