The current gen carbon spokes specific hubs quality is not up to standard. My friend got one from LB (actually oem as we all know) and the bearings are binding. 2nd thing is the hub geometry that makes the acceleration less direct than Campy. I actually asked LB to build the same AR565 flyweight rear wheel on my CULT hub / Sapim D-Light spokes and it rides better than LB carbon spokes hub.

Probably my question may seem strange, it’s like going to the Mercedes forum and asking why I should buy it and not a Kia. However, why do you think that Bora WTO Ultra is better than, for example, Farsport with carbon spokes and weighing 150g less? I have money for both and I'm trying to figure out what to do. The appearance of Campa is certainly fantastic. At the moment I am looking towards the 35mm c23 as a golden mean between climbing and traveling in a group with friends. 45mm seems heavier to me, although I like it better in appearance.
It's the appearance you pay for. And for me, it was a sole reason to get Boras rather than Chinese nonames.

Chinese wheels like lb and fs are good as long as you get good brand name hubs with them. At that point the price difference diminishes. Also, Chinese wheels are usually not aero tested (if that matters to you) and I don't know how much impact testing they do.

I've had both light bicycle and Boras (old model). Boras were indestructible, had best braking surface at the time and hubs had zero issues. Freehub is simple but works, and bearings last the lifetime of the wheels. Light bicycle have great rims but should have gotten dt Swiss hubs instead of the cheapest bitex that had skipping issues from the start.

Nice. What is the weight of the wheelset? Can't find any real weight for non-Ultra boras...

Big discounts for Bora WTO C19 rim or disc on bike shops from Germany. I got a WTO 60 to compliment my Ultra 50 and WTO 33 rim.
For disc, if I make the jump, I will get probably the new ones c23

That's a pretty good deal to me. 19mm is on the narrow side these days but I really like my WTO 45 rim brake wheels and I've got an older disc brake Colnago that gets pretty tight with i25 wheels mounted on the rear. Fork has enough room for a cross tire for some reason...

Yes, B24. Still lots in stock I see. For disc I would go wider, but for the rim brake bikes it seems like a super nice deal. I can't wait for WTO60 set to rejuvenate my Colnago C60 with SR12 mechanical

C23 ultra 45mm was back in stock this morning on bike-discount.de. 2550eur is still a lot for a wheelset but well below MSRP and not far off the regular WTO.
I have great memories of a rim brake set of c19 wto 45s. Was looking at the regular wto 45 for about 1900... But all that ultra goodness is tempting.

I have received my new WTO 60 rim brake, they are really beautiful built.
The sales are still ongoing, I find it a really good deal also for disc if you want to run 28mm tyres.

I currently own and have ridden both the disc brake Bora WTO 60 and the Bora Ultra WTO 60, and figured I would write a comparison.

The fit and finish of both is the best of any wheelset. The manufacturing tolerances are exceptional such as I can swap both sets in my S-Works and do not need to adjust the caliper. The carbon front hub is beautiful. I like the graphics on both wheelsets but the Ultra's having the flakes of copper is truly stunning.

When I first picked-up the Ultra rear wheel by the freehub it just started to spin. It was very apparent how little rolling resistance the Ultra's had compared to the standard WTO. On the road, the freehub sounds the same and I'm not sure how well I can truly sense a difference but it does seem to be rolling smoother.

Over time, I had changed the Bora WTO from Campy, to Shimano, to XDR and then to N3W. It is pretty incredible that it is so easy. You can't go wrong with either set, they are the best wheels I have owned but if you can afford it then get the Ultras.

On a side-note, I also own the rim brake Bora WTO 60's and Bora WTO 45's. These are exceptional wheels as well.
