According to R2 my C38 rearwheel will be delivered around 1/8, the frontwheel C35 is still postponed:-(
That's surprising.
I am not one of you who orders the wheels when launched, so I don't know delivery date.
But I saw r2bike had uploaded the picture of C35 weighed on a scale!
So, it means they have already got C35 in stock or at least one sample.
Why is C38 going to be delivered first?

https://r2-bike.com/media/image/product ... chse~6.jpg
They confirmed now that the front is reserved for me and the rear will be expected from 1/9, this changed in the messages I got from them on 15/7, 22/7 and now the last on 29/7 :(. Strangely they have both 42mm's in stock but did not weigh them yet. Hopefully the weightdifference will not be that big for the rear wheel!
 What an unfortunate purchase. The 42mm+35mm combo is like 100g heavier. Would you like to settle?

Ordered (and received) the C38 rearwheel from Bike Discount today (C35 from R2 still has to come);
- wheels and spokes look great! But the (end of the) tubeless tape was already loose (and did't stick anymore so I shortened it)
- not sure about the (aero)valve; seems a (lot) of "hassle" everytime you have to pump or have a flat. Haven't weighted the weightgain but probably not that much compared to normal tubeless valves.
- Shimano version weighted 621 grams on my Parktool scale, should be 599 according to Newman, not bad but also not super.... so a sub 1100 gram set with a Shimano hub will be impossible I think :-(

621g for wheel + pre-installed tape?
2 laps of tape is 15 gram

599g specified must be without tape...

I don't really get it, are these wheels closer to 1,000 gram or 1300 grams? I am seeing all sorts of numbers and photos batted around here.

OK thank you, so the very lightest ones are infact close to 1,000 grams. These appear to be the "Streem Climbing Vonoa" Do I have this right?

1035g should be XDR. HG is an extra 20g, as usual

The true weight of C35/38 XDR is 1088g according to a German forum.

A comrade here got the C38 HG and said it was 621g, and r2bike confirmed the C35 was 490g, so C35/38 is 1111g.

Though it jumped from 1000+ to 1100+, I still think it is a pair of charming wheels considering the price.

1111g isn't too bad but Newmen is not too honest here? Anyway, it is cheaper than Extralite CyberDisc 340C, which is around 1000g (if they are honest ;).

If it's with tape and valves like mentioned above, then it's honest.

I've just taken delivery of my first set of Vonoa wheels, the
Newmen STREEM Climbing VONOA.

Waiting for the STREEM Allround VONOA to be delivered next.

On the Climbing VONOA the first impressions are very positive so far,
- finish seems very nice
- surface quality nice
- nice pronounced hooks
- came pre-installed with tubeless rim tape
- spoke tension seems uniform and high
- I did not measure runouts yet, but look fine to me

Most important figure maybe up front for everyone: WEIGHTS front 464.5 g / rear 596.5 g = combined 1061 g including rim tapes,
claimed weight is 1035 g, so I'd say these are pretty true to claim.

I will be mounting Conti GP5000 TT (front) / GP5000 S TR (rear) in 28mm on these and take them for a 1st spin later today.
Should have the first 1K km covered next weekend (unless the Allround VONOA show up earlier as I am even more excited for these).
