Number 1 voted tire in May. So probably early June. But we know it's fast already. Now it's only about grip and puncture resistance.

I'm so happy with my Corsa Pro 28mm after 200 miles that I ordered a pair of Corsa Pro Control 28mm for another wheelset to do a comparison. I own 6 road wheelsets with various tire combinations and I also did about 300 miles on the 28mm GP5k TR S in-between the rides on the Corsa Pro just to A-B these two tires. I much prefer the Pro for road feel and it feels darn near identical in perceived rolling resistance. Looking forward to see the punture data from BRR

What size would work best with 19 mm internal 26-27 external wheels like Bora WTO? I'm thinking any of 24, 26, or 28 with 24 best for 105% rule and weight, 28 for running at lower pressures, with perhaps 26 the sweetspot as long as they don't blow up bigger than labelled. The 25 mm GP 5000 S TRs I have mounted have remained true to size after many months of riding (sub 26 on the WTOs) and it looks like these VCPs are if anything a little smaller?

So I ended up buying a 24 mm for the front and a 26 for the rear. The 24 weighed 262 g and the 28 was 279 g. They do come up smaller that GP5000 S TRs, with the 24 having WAM 24.2 mm, and the 26, 25.7 on 19 mm internal at 80 psi.

They look dreamy in tan, and the ride is sublime with no hint of the hardness or harshness that I can feel on the Contis at 80 psi (I usually ride them at 70 psi to counter this).

I've got a 150 mile ride with 10k ft of elevation tomorrow and think I'm going to opt for these on 50 mm rims over the Power Cup 25s (WAM 27.7 mm on 19 int) on 38s, although it's a tough call as the 50s should be much more aero but a good bit heavier than the 38s.

What's the magic with these? I've ridden cottons before but these are crazy plush! I've re-checked tire pressure twice during the ride, because they felt so smooth, that I was scared they had dropped significantly in pressure. Seems to be the construction though.

I had this experience with the Power Cup coming from GP5k.

How does the Vittoria compare to Power Cup in terms of supple ride feeling?

I have set of Corsa Pro Control 28C on it’s way to me. I’ll post weights and measurements of them mounted on 22mm inner width DT Swiss ERC1100 wheels tomorrow

This is strange to me, particularly since we know that these tires (the new Vittoria) are raced (successfully) at the very highest levels of the sport, including races as diverse as Paris-Roubaix and the Giro. Is the tread too narrow for those ProTour riders? For weekend warriors like me? For a rolling steel drum? I'm not being facetious; I am genuinely curious as these Vittoria tires look very promising to me.

Sometimes, I swear. A few of the teams did have troubles, yes. From memory it was the teams that all had wide wheels.
