Anyone using 26mm on 21mm inner? Hopeing to find a good match for my 28mm outer width.

I've been using 26mm on a set of Lightbicycle AR46 that has 21mm inner and 28mm outer. At 73psi, they measure roughly 27.6mm.

P-Zero Race TLR updated with up to a whopping 700x40 version. Claims of 24% reduced rolling resistance, which would put it in the same ballpark as the GP5K S TR, maybe a tad slower.

I already put in a review request for the 26mm version on BRR if anyone else wants to vote for it.

Nice! Pirelli P Zero Race TLR 28-622 is already under "Coming soon" at BRR so hopefully the new italian made version will be reviewed.

I'm currently running the old french made version as a winter tire and I'm liking it a lot. A touch slower than GP5000 etc but so far no punctures, good grip and comfort.

Are they releasing a new faster clincher version too (Regular P-Zero Race) or just the TLR? My GP5000's will be ready for replacement in the next few months and if they have somehting that's just as fast, I may give Perelli a try.

Yes, they were actually the first tire Pirelli produced at their new bollate factory. Packaging is different for the italian made version with the better construction.

Thanks, I didn't notice the BRR test was from 2021. I was hoping the new Pirelli would test faster and give the Continental GP5000 some compitition.

How am I supposed to know whether I'm buying the new or the old versions of the P Zero Race TLR? Some retailers use the term SpeedCORE to describe the tire. Does that indicate the new version?

It's clearly mentioned on the packaging. On the clincher is mentions 'made in Italy'. The old packaging doesn't have anything on them. I ride the clinchers already for quite some time and they are very nice

I think the new clincher made in Italy is 120TPI while the older one was 127tpi?

If you use shops that have a good turnover I dontxthink they will sell the old style. My small shop doesn't have the old ones anymore. That said buy and sent back if it doesn't mention made in Italy

I tend to disagree to the above statements wrt the clincher. I have them (purchased 2021) and they are Made in France (even stated on the tire wall). If I understood the TLR news release correctly, only the Limited Edition of the clincher (golden logo) was produced in Italy. However I was not able to find any information anywhere if that LE used a different carcass vs the Hutchinson-made clinchers.

As of early 2022, the P Zero Race 4S clincher and P Zero Race TT clincher are made in Italy.
As of now, the P Zero Race TLR is now made in Italy.

I though the P Zero Race clincher was also transferred to Italian manufacturing, but it's a bit unclear whether it's just the 150th anniversary addition or if they moved over all P Zero Race clinchers.

Ah I see...do you know if the carcass changed at all when they moved TT and 4S production to Italy?
Maybe I just get myself a set of the 150h anniversary tires and do a comparison...

The new 40mm TLR is very interesting to me. When traveling and taking just the one bike, a gravel bike with that could be very quick and versatile on mixed surfaces. It won't be ideal for anything, but could be a good compromise. You'd imagine it'll have lower RR and be a lot more supple than a Strada Bianca HTLR, albeit with significantly worse puncture resistance.
