Let me show you the start of a new project:

2017 SuperSix Evo Ultegra disc in size 50.
Pictures is as bought. So, a lot of heavy parts and cables and hoses that are way too long....

Already changed:

Shortend the steerer to fit the stem right on top of the Cannondale topcap -7gr steerer and -8gr spacers;
Replaced the Cannondale C2 40cm bar with an Easton EC90SLX 42cm bar -90gr;
Replaced the Cannondale barplugs for SQlab plastic ones -26gr;
Replaced the Cannondale C3 seatpost for the Cannondale SAVE seatpost -109gr;
Replaced the stock seat for a SQlab 612r 14cm -89gr;
Replaced the Ultegra FD for a Dura Ace FD -17gr;
Replaced the SI crank for a HG SI crank -125gr;

And on the way to be replaced:

Aksium wheels for DTSwiss PR1400 db21 dicut. Should be -450 gr;
Dura ace RD to replace the Ultegra. Should be -37gr;
Shimano 105 11-28 cassette to Ultegra 11-23. Should be about -75gr;
Formula thru axle front to DTSwiss: Should be -43gr.

I use Look Keo Carbon-Ti ceramic pedals (190gr) and 2pc Elite Vico Carbon bottleholders 26gr each.

So, I have not weighed the stock bike and I'm only going to weigh the bike when the last four parts have arrived and are on the bike. And after that I need to see what is next on the list. Aim for now is to end up around 7kg on a naked bike (without bottleholders, computer mount, pedals etc.). Looking at online reviews of this bike, the standard bike should be around 8,5kg in size 56 (not sure if this weight is with pedals). How much would a size 56 differ from a size 50?

I need to look into upgrading the non-group Ultegra shifters by Dura Ace. But that is $$$.

New pics will follow as these parts have put on the bike. Looking at these pics the bike already looks different and more fast with the spacer tower removed. But the wheel upgrade will make the most difference I think.

Is there someone that can tell me the weight of a bare size 50 disc-frame? And how about the fork?

Bad luck, I sold my 9120 shifters/derailleurs for ~610USD the other day. Might have been a good deal for you.

Lol, I was going to ask the same. Let us know next time you disassemble the bike, I know how annoying this is.

Thanks! But this part of the forum seems to be pretty silent with ony you responding. It seems that only the true WW-projects get the attention... :?

I will update the weight of the frame yes....but I guess I will not take it apart for a while.

I love your bike. I worked in a Cannondale dealers and always kick myself for not getting that version of the SS disc frame.
I have the Hi-Mod non disc version myself.

Recently I’ve bought a ton of stuff from AliExpress. Bars, saddles, seatposts, QR’s and all have been fantastic.
I’ve stuck with the trusty Kalloy Uno stem.

The crank on yours is fairly heavy but all parts are interchangeable with the spider one so you can change it as you go or check eBay for the full spider crank. I think a worthwhile investment.

The Dura ace read mech always looks good.

Looking forward to seeing the progression of your build.

My new 2018 caad 12 105 build. Size 56cm

Just picked this up after waiting 98 days. It’s in mint condition. Zipp handlebars and stem. Rotor chainring. 105 5800 groupset and pedals. Weighs 8.51kg with and 8.19kg without peddles. Going full dura ace 9100 to go on. Just need cassette shifters and brakes. Just sold a caad 12 disc that was 10.2kg standard but prefer rim brakes. 🤙Might get hunt wheels in the future. Will have to see. Here it is.

Nice! Has there been corrosion or signs of bubbling at the aluminum-carbon joins, under the repaint?
