They were cheaper than when I bought them. I'd do it again. The function, weight (this is weightweenies) of about 210g all in including fittings (if I recall) and the aesthetic on what is a high end bike is in line with the rest of it.

This is very nice.
I cannot recommend these enough. https://www.veloduo.co.uk/products/carb ... 35-40-50mm
I have them on my Vaaru (pictured here: https://www.instagram.com/p/ChFQxTdINgN/ ) and they are completely solid. As in, no noise. And very light.
Thanks.
I considered those mudguards but it was a hassle trying to get them to Ireland. I went with the cheap wiggle own brand guards but they're terrible. The plastic is very thin so the stays can't support their side to side waggle over rough roads.
I'll probably go with Portland Design Works (PDW) in black. Not as light as the carbon veloduo but still a good looking mudguard (if there is such a thing)
Absolutely I love their look, unfortunately with everything involved in bringing them to Ireland they're probably 250 euro.RTW wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 3:18 pmThe Portland Design ones are good - very solid from what I hear. That's the main thing.
My riding buddy really mocked me for the carbon ones, but admitted after our first ride together that "they do look very cool when riding behind you", which is what it is about really!

Well done. Used an Aeroad as winterbike a few years back as well, and it's is absolutely not suited for fitting fenders. But seems you did a good job mounting yours. Do you have a closeup of where the rear fender meets the rear brake?
