Hi,

last version of my winter / gravel bike ... used in the fall / winter period with 35mm tires essentialy to get some grip on rough and dirty rural roads (CK R45 with LB AR46 rims, GP5000 AS TR tires this year), and with up to 42-43mm tires in the spring / summer on non paved roads, forest trails (Bitex hubs / EIE rims).

Di2 GRX group since 2 years now, new seatpost & handlebar with flare (helps on gravel, a bit odd on the road) and recently updated with a SQLab saddle, a real improvement since I had problems with SLR saddles for some time.

Not the best road bike, feels a little bit like a truck but very stable on slippery ground ... super fast and fun on gravel, thanks to the short chainstays and stable front end.

Cracked my Alchemy again by the cable port so they made me an internally routed frame this time. Love how it turned out and really hope this is the one!

Also updated to a UDH hanger and T47 BB. Frame is 540mm stack, 390mm reach, 72.5 head tube, 73 seat tube

Love every iteration of this bike. What's up with Alchemy QC though? Tempted to give them a try — DeSalvo also a possibility — but your posts (while beautiful) give me pause. If anything, they seem to be responsive!

Thank you! It's been a journey but they've been super responsive and have catered to my whims with every iteration. They're taking the broken frames to get analyzed by their tubing supplier since they're just as puzzled as I am. Apparently I'm the only one with this issue and these cable ports are used by a number of frame builders. They said they make frames for Lennard Zinn and big dudes with no issues and I'm 170lb. The finish and performance have been great otherwise and with the updates on this frame I think it's pretty future proof.

There's a certain point where they just don't know what they're doing regardless of how responsive they are...

I think it's #5, yeah it was frustrating but so far this one is great. They're not quite the same level as Mosaic with their cable port sleeve which I think it much stronger as it inreases the amount of material around the port. No cable ports means no weak spots though hopefully. Also at the end of the day, I got a screaming deal and was able to modernize and tune the frame so I'm happy

Will change to Conti GP 5000 AS tubeless due to recent hookless discussion (it feels safer than RH with TPUs) and most likely switch to seat post without offset.
