Oh hell yeah! Those older Pinas built by Pegoretti were so wonderful. (Trying and failing to ever warm to the contemporary Pina models but that has nothing to do with Dario's creations.) That is a pristine Banesto bike there, HPWs and all. I hope that is in the ride rotation regularly.

Dario Pegoretti Duende CX. Mohammed Ali paint scheme.
I'm the second owner of the bike. Mostly used for gravel adventures, pure pleasure to ride.

So nice! We all miss Dario's unique creations...
Totally missed this post.
Here my loooong term project:1995 Miguel's Indurain frames welded by Dario (one of the 10 he made that year for Big MiG).
Two ears ago I had the pleasure to have a chat on this frame with Dario himself. He was not easy to share details (he was contractor and seems that Banesto did also directly work with him without involving Pinarello for some TT frames) but was still interesting how big the chain-stay are.

New tubulars (Challenge Strada Bianca) on Nemesis rims. Fast and did cope surprisingly well with wet gravel. Snowy parts were a bit different...

New old wheels. Maybe 2008 I bought wheel set from Quick-Step. Roval labeled Campy Hyperon with DT Swiss hubs. Schwalbe ONE tubulars. I didn’t write down accurate weight, but around 8,3kg

Here's my Respo. Sad to say it's been locked up at my parents for a couple of years due to geographical moves. Might actually look to sell it, if anyone is interested PM me
