I'm a fan of Bianchi's but just cant vibe with the new Oltre/Specialissima design language (to say the least)...so I built up a Specialissima Disc to race this year. I still need to weigh it. Happy with how it rides, but assuming New Red is reverse compatible with the old D1 stuff, these hoods have to go. I have Rival hoods on my Sprint and they are MILES better in ergo.

Build details below. Definitely get that it isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I just love Celeste :beerchug:

Probably won't weigh the rest of the individual components, but I did weigh these as they showed up. Will post the full build weight soon.

You were just too polite about the look of Oltre and Specialissima. They are terible ugly frames, I am curious if anyone finds them good looking.
Your bike looks good, slightly oversized tubes but nothing too much. I would cover the Reparto Corse branding on the wheels with some mate black stickers for a BoB look.
Also, is that your regular brakes position? They look mounted a little bit lower than I would expect.

TY. The hoods are a little forward but not too much, the actual shape of the hoods is wildly off to me. It may be because Im going backwards from the D2 hoods, but I am unsure how anyone finds the old D1 hood shape comfortable for anything except grabbing the top of those big honkers and getting in to sphinx position.

I kinda like the wheel lettering. I absolutely didn't think I would but in person, the wheel set is nicer than I expected. Not crazy heavy (1600g), wide enough, and up close, it is actually exposed carbon weave (not UD), with a thick layer of lacquer or whatever over it to make it shiny.

i like your bikes. you have to be a bianchi owner to truly appreciate the green colorway. the celeste green original paint schemes are the best. i had a superleggera with columbus slx with chorus from 1988

I built up one of the new 2024 Specialissima and have to agree I wish I had your paint on mine but for the way it rides it vastly makes up for it. Amazing ride.

That new Specialissima looks better in that picture and with deep wheels than it does in the marketing photos. You got any facing the other direction (with the sun)?

I don't I will grab one though. They are 60mm wheels. Best suited for the Specialissima.
