I was looking for a bike upgrade for a long time. Coming from a Radon R1 2015, Shimano 105, 9kg+, external cables everywhere, no comfort at all, but a really nice, still competitive geometry (was a great entry lvl bike) I did test rides on all the Specialzeds, BMCs, Treks, ROSEs etc. I knew I needed to spend money, but I wanted it to stay at a "reasonable" price tag at max 6000€. Stevens made a good first impression on me with the PRESTIGE, their gravel bike. Really nice build quality for a good price point. And the Arcalis checked all the boxes in terms of price, geometry, weight, aero'ness. And I fell in love with the color "Magic Sky". omg Becky, I just love it. I wanted to keep some kind of understatement with the build, so I really like the black decals on the frame and on the wheels. The 20+ white decals on most Specialzeds just turn me off. The Scope wheels were a recommendation and I got them cheap, so far they are great.

I think this is quite a good base weight for an aeroish, moderately priced frame. the tubolitos are the only real weight saver at this point. And the heavy Garmin pedals even out that weight loss.
upgrades in the planning are:
Saddle: Ti Version?, One piece cockpit (two piece until I'm 100% sure with the geometry), lighter bottle cages (I like their shape and they hold bottles well, do those attributes translate to the carbon version?), bar tape (was meant for another bike, not suitable for an aerobar, not flexible enough, I really like the texture, though). Ideas for more upgrades are welcome. I'd consider an asian handle bar e.g. (ACR choise is so slim...) but on moving parts I do not want to risk to much, that kind of guy. I do know the wheelset is not the lightest, but it's ok'ish. I do not want to spend the money on another set and I'm very happy with all the other attributes of the Scopes.

Thanks! First upgrade will be the saddle, SLR Boost Kit carbonio superflow, circa -70g. Next, I want to search for a replacement for the heavy saddle clamp. Let's go!

i am not familiar with aero stems, but 235 gr. for a 100mm seems a lot to me. Bar and stem weigh nearly 500 gr. 100-200 gr. saving should be easily possible here.

But if you are really satisfied with the fit of the current parts, i would not change it.

Going for an one-piece-cockpit was the plan all along . Just wanted to get the fit right with this cheaper setup (and uglier setup, I think that FSA stem is plenty ugly). Might increase the reach by 10mm with the cockpit. Probably going for an EXS Aerover. In the time of the initial build, I just knew of the Metron 5D for ACR, which is fairly costly and not so good looking either. 150g+ off savings should be doable with that alone. I'm also looking into options for a lighter seat cradle, do not know what would be fitting there as of jet. With that + bar + lighter bartape + lighter wahoo mount I should be able to safe 250g+. That would put the bike at 7.6 kg, I'd be fine with that for a while. That would be a good weight with the heavy garmin Rallys. After that the next step would be lighter wheels, but that will take some time to happen...

Yes, wheels could be the key to a significant step forward in terms of weight saving!
