Finally ready to get back in the game after getting taken out by a car last year. I'm going with a new Tarmac frameset. Goals for the build are to get under 7kg with a budget of £7,500. Ideally, I'll get it down lower than that but it's a solid start in the aero setup - I'll easilly knock another couple hundred grams off with climbing wheels.

Here's a build list with some estimated/expected weights:

S-Works Tarmac 49cm 780
Fork: S-Works Tarmac 360
Seatpost: S-Works Tarmac 180
Thru-Axels: Specialized 68
Headset: Stock 43
Headset Cable Guide: 15
Topcap, Spacers & Bolt: 35
Derailleur hanger: 17
Seatpost wedge: 27
BB bearings 65
Saddle: Berk Lupina 90
Stem: Tarmac SL7 155
Handlebar: FSA K-Force 220
Bartape: Fizik or Supacaz 70
Computer Mount 20
Cages: Elite Leggero 34
Pedals: Assioma Duo 305
Front Roval Rapide CLX 649
Rear Roval Rapide CLX 751
Tyres: GP5000 25mm 440
Tubes: Vittoria Latex 160
Right Shifter: ST-R9270-R 175
Left Shifter: ST-R9270-L 175
Front Der: FD-R8150 116
Rear Der: RD-R8150 262
Chainset: R8100 (52/36) 711
Cassette: R9200 (11-30) 223
Chain:CN-M9100 (XTR 12s) 242
Front Brake: BR-R9270 97
Rear Brake: BR-R9270 97
F Roter: RT-CL900 (140) 96
R Roter: RT-CL900 (140) 96
Battery: BT-DN300 52
Cables: (estimate) 190

There will be some changes to this - I'm going to get a Farsports F1s once I'm happy with my fit. I don't want to commit to an expensive one-piece straight after a spinal injury. I'll also be getting a direct mount derailleur hanger. The chainset and both derailleurs have been downgraded to Ultegra which adds 88 grams, but crucially saves ~£600.

I spent my time off well and found a set of Roval Rapide CLX wheels for £1,324. Another decent bargain, and lighter than the new model. I'm happy with this since I'd rather run latex tubes than tubeless tyres on my road bikes.

The only problem is they've both come in overweight:
Front - 672 g
Rear - 771 g

43 grams up versus the expected weight :( The only thing I can think to change is the rim tape. I've seen powder coating tape used to save weight on a build before, but I'm not sure whether there is a compromise to using it. Has anyone got experience with this?

Cassette and lockring came in at 225 g.
