Welcome! What type of bikes do you have and what are you looking to do with them?

Hi all - new member here.

I've been into road cycling again for a number of years now. I bought a low mileage, older Giant TCR Ultegra. I've just received some Wiggle vouchers for my birthday so thought that I would put the TCR on a bit of a diet. I'm an avid GCN viewer. My plan is; carbon pedals, bottle cages, handlebars, saddle. I watched the recent GCN video on carbon wheels vs alloy wheels and it looks like an aero profile is more important than out and out weight with regards to wheels. Plus I'm on rim brakes so I'm a bit restricted on carbon wheels anyway.

Does that sound like a good list of upgrades?

Thanks, DH

Nice project! If you are on a tight budget, i would recommend dropping the pedals from that list and prioritizing on better Tyre/tube combo. That can shed a lot of grams (and it has a more signficant performance impact on the bike), more so than carbon pedals. And overall it's a better money/per gram solution. Also, handlebars, seat and seatpost is a good combo to shed some grams off the bike at a reasonable price.
If you don't have a good set of tyres, go for some contis GP5000 or something. Also, check out the RideNow Tpu Tubes (24grs per tube, really worthy upgrade).
I hope you can get on with the project! Good Luck!
