So I picked up a repaired Felt F1 frame in 2021 with the intent to repaint it so thats just what I did! Unfortunately I dont have most of the weights recorded... I really didn't do a good job at getting them all logged. But she comes in at 6.27KG with the spare tube/light.

The frame had a repair on the top tube so the new paint had to cover most of the top tube area. Then the front mech mount was removed and bondo used to fill the area. So that had to get painted to properly cover all the ugly. I got the vinyl graphics from a guy on eBay. A local shop here took all my information then never got back to me, each time I went in they said they would be done soon but never answered my calls or emails. But the ones I got were perfect for what I needed. The first layer of paint was purple/pink that received a layer of glitter. Then the first orange was layed proceeded by another orange. that makes up the bulk of the paint, and the yellow was stencle on top. then a couple layers of clear coat went on. It does save a few sections of the original Hincape graphics.

Cool project.

Not sold on the colouring of the chainring and gear/brake cables though. Sometimes less is more, but each to their own!

Amazing coloring. I love your purple chainring.

One vote yes on the chainring
One vote no on the chainring...

The gearing is a little extreme but around here I end up below sea level during rides... I may have to transition to a larger cassette or smaller ring if I go elsewhere.

Amazing! For me it's still not enough colour. What about bar end plugs or cable ends in purple or orange too?
Great detail on the nipples and cable

Because the bottle cages only fit tapered bottles I painted some orange to match the frame...
But if anyone knows of a cheap aero derailleur cage I wouldn't mind getting one and some purple pulleys. Image

If you like loud colors you have achieved it! I personally think there are too many mismatching colors

I've seen a few out there but I would get a new cage with it at the same time. But I don't think an aero wide range force cage is a thing. It would probably look misplaced on the bike anyway.

Those cages look great. My bike just got purple hope brakes fitted and it's made me realise my cages aren't a good colour match. Maybe I'll try orange or black
