With my 50th birthday approaching, my wife tossed out the idea of a new bike. Not quite sure she truly knew what she was agreeing to...

I wanted to wait to see the rumors about a new C from Colnago, and when the C68 was announced, I had mixed emotions. Looked great, and or course being the latest and greatest, just felt like it had lost a little "colnago-ness". I then spent the next couple months figuring out the build, AND locating a C64 in the size and color I wanted. Ordered on Oct 8th, delivered on the 18th (UK to US), bought all the components separately (that Euro to USD conversion is fantastic right now). Picked it up just before thanksgiving, and now, just enjoying the ride.
Me = 182cm, inseam 82cm. Went with a 52s. Been riding a Look 566 "L". The way its set up now, geometry-wise, its pretty close to how my Look was built, but we're debateing about taking out one of the spacers in the cockpit (easier to take away than to add).

The set up:
Colnago c64 Frame 900g
Ultegra Di2 2716g
Zipp 303s 1530g (front - 711g), (rear 819g)
Deda Superzero RS 215g
Deda Superzero RS stem 145g
Favero Assioma Duo 304g
Conti GP 5k tubeless 266g (x2) - 532g
Selle Italia SLR Boost Endurance TI 316 Superflow - 207g
C64 seatpost - 210g
C64 fork - 355g
Grand total - 7.114kg (15.6 lbs)

Beautiful!
Frame weight is pretty good for a Colnago, did you weigh it yourself?

Congrats. I bought the same frame for my 50th but rim brake which weighs 1117g. 900g sounds a little off.

Contrats, and a good choice!

And I feel the same about the c68 and now new v4rs, no more autograph of Ernesto… Also the geo of these latest models look very different and I wonder why and how that works out.

Not able to weigh it separately, but I did the very scientific method of me stepping on the scale both with and without the bike (my scale goes 2 decimals). Also revealed that I enjoyed Thanksgiving way to much.

For the disc version, the "claimed" weight on the frame is 865g (I think that is without paint). I put mine on my scale and got 900g on the dot, moreso because I was astonished at how light it was right out of the box. Giddy might be a better word to use when I pulled it out of the carton.

Probably a bottle of whiskey and a pack of smokes.

Lovely bike

I'm just building one similar.

What made you go Deda stem over the SR9?

What size rotors did you go with?
