I'd need to spray them with clear gloss if I want them to match. I may do that later but for now I'm just going to do sand, polish and wax.

This is missing the 18g crank bolt but 512g is pretty respectable, about 14g lighter than my Si Hollowgram SRM and about 46g heavier than THM SRM 110bcd.

630g (adding back crank bolt) for complete crankset with rings:

I threw on the Prestacycle 11-32 cassette to test how well it works. Not horribly impressed in the stand and doubt it'll get better on the road. I haven't used this medium cage RD before so maybe it's that. I'll throw my 11-30 on and see how that works:

I still have some tweaking to do. Bar angle is wrong and for some reason 17d stems always look like they're pointing down so I'll swap the Specialized stem back on tomorrow. Plus, I don't think I need 12.5cm of drop Image.

I also can't get this cassette to shift right so I need to swap cassettes tomorrow. Lastly, I need to take a picture without a dirty front tire...

Anywho, the bike should be about 6.6kg now.

That’s a sweet ‘travel’ bike. It must inspire you to pack the bike and go on more cycling adventures abroad.

Any reason you didn’t go with the SRAM Red XG1190 11-32? It’s a bit lighter than the presta and it should shift well with the SRAM RD.

Bontrager XXX VRC 38cm. Aesthetically, they're my favorite bars plus the super long reach affords a meaningful difference in position between hoods and tops.
