I bought this used frameset on a whim on the internet, it was my size, took 28 tires. An opportunity to do a weightweenie project.
Guru went under in about 2015, this frame must be from 2011 or 12, because later they added designations like R and SL. Possibly this was someone's custom, as it says "performance through custom" on the seatstays, and the size doesn't fit any geo sheets that I found. Guru made their tubes in house, then joined them. Of course once I'd bought it I remembered a trainwreck of a thread on ww where a member (KWalker) had enless issues with Guru...

Nice build but confused about the setup with gravel gearing on rim brake road tubulars.

Beautiful pictures, and great looking bike! I like the matching saddle and handlebar tape!

A well balanced build with good choice of components.

confused about the setup
I need the low gears for the hills, and I find the sram 11-30 cassette better spaced than 11-28.
Tubulars - again, for the hills, I wasn't keen on carbon clinchers with rim brakes.

@Lucendi - thank you, also for your generous help with the printed plugs!

Nice one!

How do you like the Lukna? I found it very difficult to sit on coming from a Lupina

I have been on that saddle for a few years, I like it a lot - it has a slight cradle, and it flexes, very comfy.

Thanks for photos, I didn't know Extralite made a new 15mm spacer, and lighter too! I need one :D

I like the ride just fine (I was a bit apprehensive, coming from metal bikes, it's my first carbon frameset). It's plenty comfortable, a bit stiffer than steel over a bumpy road. Good descending behavior. The only thing I don't really like is how grabby the brakes are on the carbon rims, I could lock the wheels if I don't pay attention.

Great!, with the grabby brakes is maybe a thing of fine tuning or some; i always like the photons, a couple of months ago i bought a Photon HL frame and im building right now, i remove all the paint of the frame and fork, with a bit of luck and the right parts maybe i can reach 4.70-5.00 kg.

Photon HL frame
Looking forward to seeing your bike. The HL frame should be below 700g according to this brochure

very nice bike! And, as Lucendi said as first, clever choice of components.

on the issue of grabby brakes: maybe cork pads might help, to make them less grabby!?

Of course! Im going to share the build components and frameset, in fact the bare frame with out paint and hardware weights 629gr. and the fork 284gr.and i dont know if the fork its an enve 2.0 because of the low weight, i dont know but maybe it is.
